WELL-EQUIPPED SECURE ENVIRONMENT

At Busy Bees After School Club, we provide a well-equipped, secure environment within which your child can participate in a wide range of activities. The club policy ensures that the enthusiastic, fun, and caring approach to the needs of your child will create a safe and enjoyable experience. All our enthusiastic staff participate in continual training, both on the job and in the classroom, which they then bring back to inspire policy and practice updates. We do a lot of in-house training to ensure everyone is working to the same high standards. All our staff either have childcare qualifications or are working towards them. Our recruitment standards are high, and we do thorough and extensive checks before employment. Parents interested can read recommendations and parents' stories on our website.

An integral part of child development is about building confidence, and giving children opportunities to explore the world around them, to learn about themselves and others in a safe, caring environment. This is at the core of everything we do. We treat each child as a unique individual and with equal respect, encouraging them to treat each other in the same way. We seek to meet their particular needs built on their talents and interests, act as advocates for their right to play and therefore enhance their experience at the club.

For $15 a day, the Busy Bees After School Club provides a safe, secure, and caring environment for children aged from 4 to 11, from the end of school at 3 p.m. until 5.45 p.m. We are based in the new Sports Pavilion at the town's Junior School, with a walking service offered for the children who attend the local Infants School. We have a selection of toys and games, and there are arts and crafts activities based on a weekly theme. The children also have the opportunity to do cookery activities on most days, and there is colouring, painting, competitions, word searches, and plenty of other developmental games. In addition, we have a chill-out zone where the children can chat and read comics. A choice of fresh fruit, healthy snacks, and different fruit juice drinks are available each day. The latter part of the session consists of games/sports and outside play during the warmer and lighter periods of the year. All children are encouraged to take part in team games or individual play.

We also provide childcare for children aged 4 and above during the weekend and offer a wide range of fun play activities and outings. When you first come into the Weekend Club, you and your children will be greeted by a member of the team who will ask you to sign your child in and welcome them to the session. The boards in the reception area will highlight the activities that

your child will be participating in on that day. Please sign your child's name in the correct book (under 8 - Yellow; Over 8s- Blue; II Plus-Green), and the Play worker looking after your group will take your child into the play area and help them settle in (especially on their first day). Please check if there is any additional permission forms for face painting, for example. If you have any queries or have additional information to give us, please let us know. We provide snacks consisting of fruit and fruit juice; children should please bring lunch. Early bookings help us to plan more exciting trips and activities, and we would like to encourage you to take advantage of the discount rate by doing this. Any booking made 20 days or fewer prior to the start date of the Holiday Club will be $5 extra.

Times: Weekend Club, 8.00 a.m. - 5.45 p.m. (Breakfast is served between 8.00 a.m. and 8.30 a.m. at no extra cost). Children can arrive and depart at any time during the day except on trip days, when we ask that children arrive no later than 9.00 a.m. and parents should liaise with the Club Leader regarding estimated collection times. On many trips, we are booked in at a particular time that we have to strictly adhere to - being late can make us miss our booking.
