IELTS General Writing Task 1 includes questions based on general issues and conversations in daily life. There are three types of questions in IELTS general writing- formal, informal, and semi-formal. You will be required to write 150 words in 20 minutes.

There are two tasks to complete in the IELTS Academic Writing section. It is suggested that about 20 minutes be spent on Task 1, which requires you to write at least 150 words; you have to describe some visual information in your own words (a graph, table, chart, or diagram). Task 2 requires at least 250 words and should take about 40 minutes. Task 2 contributes twice as much as Task 1 to the Writing score.
The IELTS indicator fee is USD 149. You can receive the IELTS indicator test score within 7 days of taking the test that provides indicative scores. IELTS indicator test is only for Academic exams. Since IELTS indicator results show indicative scores, very selected universities accept the exam. It follows a similar syllabus to the IELTS exam that includes reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
The IELTS academic exam writing task 1 will consist of 6 types of charts such as process diagrams, maps, bar charts, pie charts, tables, or line graphs. You will be required to write the answer based on the chart or graph or table or diagram and incorporate the relevant data along with its explanation.
