New Delhi: As per the latest updates, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has officially announced that the Telangana State abbreviation will be changed from TS to TG. It is now assumed by officials that the name of TS EAPCET will also be changed to TG EAPCET.
Any official notification for possible renaming of TS EAPCET is yet to be announced by the officials. The exam authority is expected to release the TS EAPCET 2024 application form soon on the official website at eamcet.tsche.ac.in.
The TS EAPCET was formally named TS EAMCET (Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test). The exam name was revised to TS EAPCET on the fact that admission to pharmacy courses in the state is done through the entrance test.

Telangana came into existence in 2014 by separating from Andhra Pradesh, TS was the abbreviation of the state given by the ruling party Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Reddy accused K Chandrasekar- former CM of Telangana of selecting "TS'' as the abbreviation that matched their party name. Now the ruling party is Congress and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has changed the abbreviation from TS to TG.
The TSCHE has announced that the engineering exam will be conducted from May 9 to May 11, 2024, and the agricultural and pharmacy exam will be conducted from May 12 to 13, 2024. TS EAPCET 2024 registration is to begin soon on the official website of TSCHE.

Candidates who complete their intermediate with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks can apply only for TS EAPCET 2024. There will be 160 questions in TS EAPCET paper which should be answered in 180 minutes. Candidates must score a minimum of 25% which is 40 out of 160 questions in TS EAPCET 2024 to qualify for the examination.
