IIIT Delhi Innovation and Incubation Center Inaugurates New Drone Innovation Lab; Check Details Here
New Delhi: IIIT Delhi Innovation and Incubation Center (IIITD IC) achieved a significant milestone by inaugurating its state-of-the-art Drone Innovation Lab (DIL). The event marked the launch of the DIL facility to revolutionise the drone research and development landscape.
The event was attended by IIT Delhi’s Board of Governors and Board of Directors of IIITD-IC. After the ribbon-cutting ceremony by Kiran Karnik, Chairman of BoG, IIIT Delhi, the dignitaries interacted actively with the start-ups in the drone sector incubated at IIIT Delhi.
Mr. Naresh Priyadarshi, CEO of IIIT Delhi IC, expressed his views on the occasion, said “This is a great opportunity for the drone sector start-ups across the country to get incubated at IIITD-IC. Our existing incubation ecosystem, well entrenched with mentors, IIITD’s intellectual & academic expertise, start-up community, industry network, and investors, is now further catapulted to the next orbit through the addition of this new lab.”
The establishment of IIIT Delhi Drone Innovation Lab was possible through support and grants from Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (DSIIDC), reflecting their vision to nurture and help startups in the drone industry.
This facility within IIITD-IC is poised to become a hub for drone innovation, providing a developing environment for startups to flourish. The dedicated space within the Drone Lab can accommodate up to 16 individuals, adding to the existing incubation capacity of 170+ workstations.
IIIT Delhi Drone Innovation Lab provides an inspiring and collaborative environment for entrepreneurs and innovators to work on innovative drone technologies and other deep-tech applications/areas.
