GATE 2009 TF Question Paper with Answer Key PDF is available for download. GATE 2009 TF exam was conducted successfully by IIT Roorkee on February 08, 2009 during the forenoon session. The overall test difficulty was rated moderate by the test takers. The question paper consisted of a total of 60 questions and all the questions were MCQ type only. There was no negative marking for question numbers 58 and 60, as they were linked answer type questions. In these linked questions, only the first question of the linked question pair (i.e. question number 57 and 59) was awarded with a negative marking if attempted incorrectly.;

GATE 2009 TF Paper Analysis
A few questions were linked question types and some questions had a common question data for them. Questions were asked in a general format without being divided into sections. The questions were included from the core technical subjects as well as General Mathematics.;
All the questions carried 1 or 2 marks, for which the detailed analysis of the number of questions is specified herewith:

- Majority of the topics that were covered in the syllabus were asked in the question paper.
- The total marks awarded for the question paper were 100.;
- Candidates had to carry HB type pencil only to avoid any discrepancies in marking the answers on the ORS Sheet.;
- Also, candidates were allowed to carry a calculator with themselves (w/o data connectivity).;
- Apart from these belongings, candidates could not carry any kind of graph papers or sheets, if required, tables were provided to the candidates on demand (which had to be returned once the data required was found).
