Young Use Mobile Phones And The Internet But Old People Have Little Chance To Be Exposed IELTS Writing Task 2

One of the most important benefits of the mobile phones and internet to the old people is that they can make video calls to their family members or loved ones. This helps them to maintain their contacts in their old age too even when they are unable to visit them physically at their place. In some cases, there are few old parents whose family members go out of the home for their work regularly. In such cases, the family members have tension of their old parents staying alone at home. So, the knowledge of using mobile phones and the internet can help the family members to regularly call their parents and check whether they are OK or need some help.

Here is one of the most relevant examples that I can link it with the above situation. A family living in my neighborhood has shifted to some other place due to their office work. But the old parents living in their family have not shifted from their home to the other place. Their son has informed us to take care of their old parents in their absence. One day, I had gone out of station for some work. The old people living near my home were not feeling good and they did not informed about their condition to anyone in their family and in neighborhood. Suddenly, the health of the old uncle starts degrading and he needs to be shifted to the hospital immediately.

The old aunt had learnt the use of mobile phone a few days back before her son shifted to another place. She immediately called the ambulance and took the uncle to the hospital. The doctor had informed me that if they got more late anything serious could have happened to uncle but now, he is better and is in the recovering stage. So, it can be clearly seen that it is very important to give the knowledge of the latest technology to the old people as well.

The mobile phones and internet can be beneficial for old people as they can keep contact with their loved ones to whom they cannot visit physically. Apart from this, the internet and mobile phones can be used by them for accessing the information about their health and medicines they consume. They can also order the items online such as groceries, medicines, clothes, etc. This will make their lives easier and comfortable and avoid the hectic transportation issues. Most of the old people cannot properly read the lines and sometimes they are unable to read properly. In such cases, mobile phones and the internet are of great use. They can listen to devotional songs from the various online platforms to connect to the god regularly. This will help them to bring peace in their mind and in their lives. They can also connect with their grandchildren through this latest technology.

So, to encourage the old people to learn the benefits of the latest technology, it is important to provide them with the knowledge and training on how to use mobile phones and the Internet. Special classes or video lectures should be prepared to help the old people to learn the use of the mobile phones and internet services.
