Where this happened?

I try not to overhear any conversations, whether they be from strangers or someone I know. In fact, I believe that acting in this manner is typically a sign of someone who is nosy, so I've made it a rule for myself to never be inquisitive. Anyway, this incident took place when I was eating some gourmet foods at a food court of a shopping mall. It is not like I was trying to listen in on that stranger's talk.

When it happened?

Regrettably, sticking to this norm may be difficult when you're in a public location. It is also difficult when strangers around you are talking about all sorts of topics, as I couldn't do in a few instances. A few months ago, I was attempting to listen in on that stranger's chat when I was seated at a food court.

What the person was talking about?

The conversation had been going on for about an hour. The man, who was talking on his smartphone, was actually attempting to grab the attention of those around him. He is trying to do so by bragging about how he manipualated one of his coworkers into covering for him at work by fabricating some things.

How you felt about hearing the conversation?

I felt unpleasant and humiliated since I overheard a talk that was rather distasteful by my standards. Since our secrets can always be used against us, I also believed a fact. It is that we should all endeavor to keep them that way by refraining from discussing them in any public setting.

Where this happened?

I don't usually listen in on other people's discussions, but when people talk loudly during that time, it can be annoying for others. I had a similar experience when I went to IIT Kharagpur to take part in the Spring Fest. My friend had been where I was waiting. Calling my frend helped me find out where he was.

When it happened?

I could not be able to catch the message of my friend because of a disturbance caused by a person who was chatting on the phone. He was chatting so loudly that it made it impossible to hear the message. I overheard the man talking to his girlfriend during the festival's intermission.

What the person was talking about?

He was making proposal to his girlfriend and asking for marriage. He was so overjoyed that he lost sight of the fact that he was in a public area. First of all, the fact that it bothered me so much and that others were staring at him and making fun of him made me feel irritated. That individual then became the centre of attention for everyone. The gathering that happened then ruined my mood completely

How you felt about hearing the conversation?

I contend that individuals should not talk on the phone so loudly since it can disturb others and give people an idea about a person's life. Anyone can take advantage of it. So at this point, I overheard a phone discussion with someone. Privacy should be maintained for such things. An individual should be well aware and wise enough to distinguish between his public and private life.

Where this happened?

The mobile phone has become an integral element of our daily lives. Keeping in touch with our loved ones and friends is beneficial. In only a few seconds, we can have a conversation with our loved ones. So I will take this chance to share about a time when I overheard a stranger on the phone. I will briefly explain it. I was taking the train to Ranigunj about a year ago.

When it happened?

I met the individual while travelling. It was something around 12 o'clock noon. I sat next to a young stranger in the same seat. After some while, he heard his phone ring and answered the call.

What the person was talking about?

He was speaking with a friend who had enrolled in a course in order to study overseas in the future. He was motivating his friend to do well on the test. Furthermore, that stranger advised his companion to seek assistance from a book. I was also curious about that book. I started conversing with him when that unidentified person ended the phone. He seems like a good dude to me.

How you felt about hearing the conversation?

Ultimately, I felt like I was on the ninth cloud after hearing that, and I'm grateful to that stranger, Rahul, for this useful information. That is when I overheard a stranger on a cell phone talking.
