Dear Samuel,
I hope this letter reaches you in good health. I came to know that you permanently moved to Chicago.
I am writing this letter to apologize that I could not return your history book that I borrowed in my last term. I totally forgot to return your books. I want to return your books any time you want. I would like to tell you how important your history book was to me during this semester. I have planned to do a masters in history, and am looking forward to it. I’m not sure if this book is going to help you in cracking your entrance exam, but I want to return this as soon as possible. I will courier this book to you. As I am aware that Tom is visiting your hometown next month, I might also send this book along with him. I will decide and let the book reach you on time. Also I don’t want this book to get misplaced.
I wish you success and look forward to seeing you soon.

Dear Rachel,
I hope you are doing well and in great health. I was unable to attend the last few days of our classes, due to my serious health issues. Once I am good I will join the class back.
I heard that you went to India for three months. I wish you a happy journey. I realized that I had a book of yours and completely forgot to return it. I’m sorry for not returning your book on time. This book is very important to me as it helps me in my semester exams. This chemistry book is a savior for me for this and Mr. For this semester. I want to send you this book back via courier. Likely to receive within maximum two weeks. I was also thinking of some alternatives like sending you the money so that you can buy the same copy from India. I can also send you a scanned copy of this book if you really need it in a very urgent matter.
I will be waiting for your reply. Take care.
