This is a selection-based conference, where McKinsey is envisioning to put together the most brilliant women together to have fruitful conversations and give them the due recognition for their relentless contribution in the field of consulting. I had previously asked for your permission to apply for the same after getting to know about it in the Business Insider newspaper. I’m glad to inform you that I was selected as one of the 200 women leaders to attend the conference.

Consulting is forever growing and has to keep up with all the recent trends to build a strong client base. Since women have always been a minority in the frontend roles in this industry, this conference will help me gain insights into such practices as well as understand how to handle such a position in a competitive environment and gain the client’s trust. This conference is hosted by IGD in collaboration with Mondelez International. IGD is known for its involvement in innovation and sustainability projects across industries. I learned about this conference from an advertisement which was published in The Economics Times. The conference is centered around the industry we’re in and is going to focus on the trends the industry is seeing in recent times.

As you’re aware we’re looking heavily in terms of sustainable innovation as a huge proportion of our customers are looking to use products that can cause minimal damage to the environment. Our team is tirelessly working on this aspect and has produced some brilliant results. Since this is new to us all, there is not much insight into the whole aspect in terms of data and consumer behavior.

This conference is specifically based on this subject and will be attended by many environmentalists and esteemed researchers who will shed light on this matter from the academic perspective and how the world will be perceived in the recent future with such changes grabbing the central light. I think this conference will be extremely beneficial as I can gather crucial information which can be incorporated into our products as well as through this conference I will get to network with great FMCG Veterans.
