Dear Sir,

How are you? I hope you're doing well. I am writing this letter to discuss the matter of rent increment. I got a letter from you asking for a rent increment. I moved into your place a few months ago, so this rent increment is a shock to me. I disagree with your proposal. Though your house is in a prime location, and also in good maintenance, asking for a rent hike is a bit problematic for me. I have enquired from the neighbors about the rent increment factor, none of them are doing it now. They have provided the same facilities as yours at a lesser rent. My child has just begun his schooling, which has added a lot more expenditure to my budget along with the earlier expenses I had. Also, the contract that we have signed clearly mentioned that the lease of our house is for a year. But it has only been six months since we moved here. Keeping this in mind, I would like to say that rent increment is not possible for us right now. But if you insist then we would be forced to vacate your place. It will imbalance our budget. Also, we have seen fewer places with the same facilities and lesser rent. Just because there is a park in the locality is advantageous for my child. So please rethink your decision.

Yours Sincerely
David

Dear Mr. Asmith,

I hope you are doing fine. I am writing this letter in reply to your letter regarding the rental increment. I have a few considerations that you must know so let me explain them. I have stayed at your house for the past five years. My family and I had been a good tenant paying you the rent before the due dates. Additionally, I take good care of cleanliness, hygiene, and good repair of the rental unit. I have enquired from the neighbors about the rent increment factor, none of them are doing it now. They have provided the same facilities as yours at a lesser rent. So, in this case, increasing the rent will be unbearable and it will be against the tenant law as well. Likewise, if you insist then we would be forced to vacant your place. Besides, this apartment is 1 BHK. The carpet area is not that big, also it is far away from the main city center. So the huge leap in the rent for this house is too pricey and impossible at the same time. Being an obliging person, I hope you would comprehend the concerns and practical possibilities in it.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Valli

Dear Mr. Shyamlal,

How are you? I hope you are doing fine. I am writing this letter in reply to your letter regarding the rental increment that you mentioned when we last met during the colony events. We are living in your apartment for the last six months and have just begun to settle down. It seems quite a short span of time for any rental increment, as a matter of fact. The rent slab for this area of the city is between ten to twelve thousand only and we are already paying the higher side of it. As you are aware, we have recently shifted to this city and have undergone a little financial crunch while transporting and seeking a job in a new place. There are other neighbours as well. They have not been asked for an increment. It is unfair to suddenly ask for an increment. So please rethink your decision. It would be considerate of you if you agree to continue with the same rent amount for at least a year or more. So the huge leap in the rent for this house is too pricey and impossible at the same time. So please consider my situation. Otherwise, we would be forced to vacate your place. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Sincerely
Venita
