Dear ABC,

I hope you are safe and doing well at your place. I am writing this letter to thank you for your invitation to your farewell party. Unfortunately, I want to inform you that I won’t be able to attend the party due to some unavoidable reasons.

Firstly, I am really very sorry that I won’t be able to come to your farewell party but I am sending my best wishes to you for your future. I am sure you will excel and will reach greater heights in your life. The reason behind why I won’t be able to attend the party is that I have to travel out of the station for my job interview and it cannot be postponed now. I really remember the time that we had spent together and made a lot of lovely memories. You have been a great colleague and a true friend in my bad times. You have always supported me when I was losing my confidence, and was not in my good state of mind. I have learnt a lot of things from you and your guidance has helped me throughout my life.

I am going to miss you and no one can fill your special space in my life. I promise that we will meet again soon and will spend a lot of time together. I wish you will understand my problem and enjoy your party to the fullest.

I hope you are doing well. I have received an invitation letter for the farewell party organized by you. I am writing this letter to inform you that I won’t be able to attend the farewell party due to a family emergency that I have to attend and can’t be avoided due to family pressure.

I know how important this farewell party is for you but I really apologize for my absence in the party due to these unavoidable circumstances. I am already feeling very sad and disheartened that I won’t be able to spend time with you as it was only the last time we can meet. You have filled the space of a true friend that was always missing in my life. You supported me in my bad times and enjoyed me in my good times. You always supported me whenever I needed to take the tough decisions of life. You are always a very precious and special friend to me. I am grateful for your support and guidance you’ve given me.

I wish you all the best for your future life and hope you will get everything you deserve and you wish to. We will stay in contact and catch up soon. Once again, I am really sorry for missing this wonderful time but you enjoy the party and make good memories with your other friends.

Thank you so much for inviting me to the farewell party but I want to inform you that I won’t be able to attend the party due to some unavoidable circumstances. I am really feeling sad that I will miss this last opportunity to spend time with you. At the same time, I cannot avoid the family function due to which I have to go out of station on the same day when the farewell party was organized. As I have a lot of responsibilities on my shoulder, I won’t be able to come to the party that night.
