Subject: Seeking permission to join a little late than the date mentioned in the appointment letter
Respected sir/ma’am
I hope you are doing well. I am honored to be appointed as a Knowledge Associate in your much-esteemed organization. I would like to express the fact that I am very grateful for this opportunity. I am writing this letter to convey my apologies that there would be a delay on my part in joining the office on the mentioned date, 7th September 2021, in the appointment letter.
At present, I have been hospitalized. I have been suffering from fever since the past week, and looking at the present scenario of the COVID pandemic, I decided to take the RTPCR Test in order to ensure the safety of me and everyone else residing with me. Unfortunately, I have tested positive for the COVID virus and am suffering from high fever, nausea, diarrhea, and body pain. Since I had not been seeing any improvement in my health, I have been hospitalized in the Columbia Asia Hospital, New Delhi. The doctors have suggested putting me under observation for one more week. Hence it would be impossible on my part to join the office on the stipulated date.
Hence, in order to ensure the safety and good health of everyone in the office and myself, I would like to request you to please accept my request for a delay in joining the office. I would positively join the office from 7th November 2021. I hope you understand the seriousness of the situation and my plight. I have a dire desire to join your company and work under your supervision accompanied by my growth, improvement in the skillset, and the success of the company.
Looking forward to your humble and positive response.
Yours sincerely
Aman

Subject: Seeking permission to join a little late than the date mentioned in the appointment letter
Respected sir/ma’am
I hope you are doing well. I am honored to be appointed as a clinical research associate in your much-esteemed organization. I am writing this letter to express my gratitude and to convey my apologies that there would be a delay on my part in joining the office on the mentioned date in the appointment letter.
I would like to state the reason for the inconvenience. I beg to state that my maternal grandfather is 80 years old and is very weak in terms of his health. He has been suffering from a severe attack of influenza since the second of this month, i.e. September 2021. Moreover, due to his deteriorating health, he is suffering from anaemia and needs the constant attention of someone. Consequently, he is totally confined to the bed. Moreover, there is no one at home to take care of him. Since everyone has gone to my paternal grandparent's house. Hence, I have to escort him to the hospital for his check-up and later to my paternal grandparent’s home. He is absolutely unable to help himself and do things alone.
Hence, in order to ensure the safety and good health of my grandparent, I would like to accompany him for a few days. Therefore, I earnestly request you to kindly accept my request for a delay in joining the office as per the mentioned date in the appointment letter. If possible please delay my joining date by ten days from the already mentioned date. I hope you understand the seriousness of the situation and my plight. I am very much eager to join your company and work under your supervision accompanied by my growth and the success of the company.
Looking forward to your polite and positive response.
Yours sincerely
Ankush

Subject: Seeking permission to join a little late than the date mentioned in the appointment letter
Respected sir/ma’am,
I am writing this letter to express my apologies for the delay in joining the office on the mentioned date in the application form. I would like to express gratitude for the opportunity provided by your much-esteemed organization to me. As a result, I have been recently appointed as a marketing executive in your established organization.
I would like to state the cause of my delay in joining the office. My elder brother had recently met with a car accident and has not been keeping good health for the past two months, since the accident. My father and mother both are in Karnataka since my grandfather has recently passed away. They will be back only by December since they have to take care of my grandmother and other financial and personal issues. Hence, I am the only person left to take care of my elder brother.
A few days back he had a high fever and this has left him weaker than before. Now he is anemic and requires a great deal of care on our part. Hence, he needs my constant attention to get better and healthy.
In view of these given circumstances, I hope you can accept my request and excuse me for my inability to join the job on the pre-mentioned date in the letter. I would request you to excuse me for 15 days to join. I hope you can understand the sensitivity and seriousness of the situation and understand my plight. I am very much keen to join your company and work under your supervision.
Looking forward to your humble reply.
Yours sincerely,
Anita
