Topic: You have a spare room in your apartment that you would like to rent out to a student. Write a letter to the Student Accommodation Officer of a local college.
In your letter, you should tell:
Model Answer 1:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am the owner of a 3 bhk flat in north-east Kolkata. I want to put my study room on rent of my apartment to a student seeking accommodation.
My apartment is located on the fourth floor of the Sunanda Apartments. It is situated in the center of the town which is very near the main market area. The Central Library is a 10-minute walk from my apartment. The Metro station is only 5 minutes auto distance from my location.
The best part is that the study room has a separate entrance from the main apartment. It has a big south-facing window that gives good ventilation. Also, the room gets sunlight in the morning time. Since it is away from the chaos of the city it is the appropriate place for the students to concentrate on their studies. An additional point that I would like to mention is that friends and parties are not allowed in my apartment as I stay with my family.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully
Manushi

Model Answer 2:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to let you know that I reside in Vamika Complex, located in New Town. I live in a 2bhk apartment. Currently, I am sharing the extra room with one of my colleagues. However, she is about to leave this city and move to her hometown by the end of March.
So I was looking for a roommate, so if you can refer anybody, it would be of splendid help. I don’t expect anything much but considering my vegetarian background, I would not be comfortable living with any non-vegetarian person.
I would also like to mention that I am a non-smoker and a non-alcoholic person but have no problem in case the other person consumes any. The rent for my apartment is INR. 10,000 per month. We will be sharing the rent, groceries, and water and electricity bills.
In case you know anyone, kindly refer to the earliest.
Yours sincerely,
Ritushree
Model Answer 3:
Dear Sir,
I hope you’re doing well. I am writing this letter to inform you about the availability of a room in my apartment which I plan to rent to a student.
I have an apartment at Wuthering Heights block A and my flat number is 212. The apartment is located at a prime location just 2kms away from the airport, 1kms from the shopping complex, and is just 10 minutes walking distance to the metro. It would be great if you could find any student from your college as my apartment would be just a walking distance from there.
The apartment consists of three rooms. 2 of which are already occupied. The third one would be on rent.
The room has a big window, AC and an attached washroom to it. I want to rent it to someone who is sincere and honest and takes care of the room. Also, the student is required to be back by 9 pm, no late-night parties or loud music, outsiders are not allowed. Only family members are allowed.
