Model Answer 1

Dear Jake,

I received your letter last week about seeking advice related to your career. Choosing the right career is very important as it is the foundation on which the future actions of our life will depend. Many people make mistakes in this decision and deal with regret for their whole life. You won't face regret if you make the correct decision at this level. I feel honored that you chose me of all people to give you this advice. You are facing a dilemma over Music or Business Management. I understand your situation as both careers are in great demand. I'll give you the advice from the perspectives of both. If you choose music, you will have an opportunity to turn your passion into a career. You can enjoy your work and make money out of it. If you get into Business Management, you can understand how businesses work and can get a job at any business firm in different positions. Under Business Management, you can join any consulting firm, a finance firm, or an IT company. The scope for both fields is very wide but without proper knowledge and interest, one may find himself trapped in the wrong industry. You have to ultimately decide what's more important for you, do you want to dedicate your whole life to music as you have to be good at it. To get a job as a playback singer in Bollywood, or do you want to get into the business environment and learn about modern business models. If I were in your place, I'd choose Business Management as the future of this course is great and you can make a lot of money in it. But the final decision lies with you and make sure to decide about the career keeping your interests, future, and conditions in mind. I believe in you and that you'll do good in whatever career you decide for yourself.

Best wishes,
Vijay

Dear Rohan,

Almost every student faces the constant dilemma of choosing the right career after school and since you're done with your exams now. I was not surprised when I received your letter for advice on what career you should choose. I know it's very confusing as there are lots of options available these days that can make it difficult to choose the best one for us. You are confused between music and business management. I get it, both the fields are great with good scope for the future. But you've to choose the one that is the best for you. Before making this decision, you have to first understand the career level and scope of both the fields. Music can help you to convert your passion into a job. You can learn music and get a job as a playback singer or you can start your own music academy. On the other hand, Business Management can help you understand the functioning of a business firm. You can get a job as a consultant or a business analyst after completing the specific course in Business Management. You can also start your own business as you'll be well versed with how the business works in the real world. This decision is very important as it can change the course of your career. I would suggest you to go for Business Management and pursue music as a part time job. Because the scope in business management is going to be huge in the future and it can open so many options for you. You can make lots of money in it, if you are good at your job. If you like music, you are free to pursue it as a part time job. In this way, you can learn business and follow your passion as well. But the ultimate decision will be yours, follow this advice only if you are ready for this. If your interest lies more in music, pursue it as a full time course. Be the best in whatever you do. I wish you all the best for your future.

Best wishes,
Arpit

Dear Suraj,

First of all, congratulations for your amazing result. I'm so proud of you and I can't wait to see you this summer. I received your letter yesterday and I'm very happy that you trust me enough to ask for my advice regarding your career options. I know you're very confused right now, I was too but once you decide the correct path, you'll feel more confident than ever. You are confused between music and business management. Both are among the most popular options for the student these days. Gone were the days when students saw music as just a slide hustle. Now, there're plenty of courses and jobs available that make music a lucrative career option. Business management is great too as it is one of the most trendy courses nowadays. Firms all over the world look for business professionals to handle different functions of the business like consulting, finance, analysis and administration. There is no dearth of money in this field and you can earn really well if you are good at your job. You should choose the option that you feel is the best for you and you'll enjoy doing it. If you're into business processes and ideas, go for Business Management and if you want to turn your passion for music into your career, go for it. Research about both the options and analyze the pros and cons. Check the available courses related to the fields and the colleges that are providing these courses. Check the fees required and if any financial aid is available or not. Choose the one that is best fitted for you. You are an exceptional student and I know that you'll do good in whatever you'll do. So, choose wisely and patiently. All the best for your future endeavors.

Best wishes,
Arya
