Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:

2. explain that you left your wallet in their house
3. give them instructions on how to send it back to you

Dear John,

I hope you are doing well. I arrived in Dubai without incident. The holiday I spent with you guys was fantastic. One of the finest Christmas ever was this one. I'm writing to express my gratitude and to ask you to please return the wallet I left at your home.

I sincerely appreciate you having me stay at your home and making the trip so memorable. Since I had never before experienced such a stunning location and a vibrant culture, last week was without a doubt the best time of my life. And the dinner you prepared for me was divine and scrumptious. Already, I long for the taste and flavour!

I noticed I left my wallet at your house when I got to Dubai. My passport wasn't in my wallet, so I was still able to fly. I think it was laying on top of your piano when I was packing my belongings and I quickly forgot to pick it up.

I would still like you to send the purse to me as soon as you can because I have some crucial things in my wallet. Since I spend most of my time there, you can mail it to my work address.

I want to thank you once more for your wonderful hospitality during my week-long stay at your house during my vacation in your town. It was a truly pleasant holiday, and I'm looking forward to spending many more vacations in your city. I really enjoyed my stay there. Anyway, I'm writing to you now because it appears that I left my wallet at your house, and I didn't even realize this until I got home this afternoon.

Of course, it's also possible that I misplaced it while we were en route to the store to grab some snacks and beverages. However, I remember that you had forbidden me from carrying my wallet with me yesterday evening since you were so eager to handle the bills on your own. So I suppose my wallet is still tucked within one of the TV stand's drawers in your living room.

You don't need to worry about returning my wallet to me since, fortunately, one of my neighbours travels through your town to visit his elderly parents. All you need to do is give him my wallet next weekend. I truly sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. I eagerly await your response.

Additionally, make sure to get the consignment tracking number so you can follow the package. I'll cover the courier fees.
