Model Answer 1

Real-time communication today is trending amongst students and professionals. These systems are a wonderful combination of video, audio, and computer technology that allows individuals to interact in real-time regardless of their time zone or geographical location. The development in technology and fast internet services have allowed individuals to connect with people worldwide. Prior to the evolution of mobile phones, individuals had to take out time to travel and meet new people in order to connect with them. Contrary to that, people now effortlessly communicate with their friends and loved ones because of the ease of technology. People can now make new acquaintances from all around the world with apps like Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, even Twitter. Due to a lack of communication with loved ones, people used to feel isolated and lonely. But nowadays we can learn about each other’s whereabouts through social media, video or audio calls. Many people have been able to discover new communities on the internet, where they get to interact with like-minded others where they feel a sense of belonging. Because many people are in danger of loneliness and depression, internet communication allows them to keep in touch with others and develop social relationships. However, it must be done optimally or it can get dangerous at times. Real time communication via different apps is a hack that does have safety concerns. But we cannot dismiss how the internet has helped people to come out of loneliness and saved them from being isolated. To conclude, yes the internet can never make us feel lonely, and with an ease we can develop new friendships. The key however, is to use the internet optimally and not splurging all our personal details to strangers.

Model Answer 2

The internet has been a boon for us. It has helped us connect with friends, and family, in our time of need. To think, we can connect with anyone around the world with a single click is utterly an achievement on its own. To a certain extent, I would agree that the internet has its positives but also comes with its share of cons. The internet needs to be used judicially, as it impacts our social life, and safety concern always surfaces. It is true that many people are having social life problems these days, due to the internet. Almost everybody has their own mobile phone nowadays, and they can use it for browsing, chatting or online gaming. With all the attractive and entertaining applications, many people like to play around with their gadgets for hours and abandon their social life. As a result, it has been reported that many families are having communication problems with their teens. However, it can be clearly seen that the problem has risen due to the indiscipline of users. If the internet is used with the right purpose and in the appropriate manner, it would bring many benefits for us. The internet has truly changed the way individuals and corporations interact and correspond with one another. With electronic email and chatting facilities such as yahoo or google, people could communicate and connect with other people in a more efficient and effective way. Secondly, the internet could also be used to expand people's networking. Social media sites such as Facebook or Twitter could be used to connect people from different areas, maintain friendships and even it could be used for online businesses as well. Therefore, it depends on the users themselves on how wise they use it. In conclusion, although online technology has become a problem for some people's social life, I do believe that the internet when used wisely and appropriately has a lot of benefits for individuals and societies.

Model Answer 3

Online communication has become an integral part of our daily lives. Most people take into account this mode of correspondence as an asset to connect with their close ones as well as make new connections. Yet, in my opinion, anything online should be dealt with responsibility and discipline, or it can cause havoc. At the outset, it is true that after the advent of the world wide web, people have never been alone. They can participate in any activity or conversations. Unfortunately, due to this, face-to-face social interactions are losing their charm. The warmth of human intimacy is lacking, and loneliness, leading to depression and various other mental issues, is spreading like wildfire. Additionally, it is leading to a scant opportunity of physical activity. A continuous exposure to computer screens leads to eyesight problems from a young age and develops obesity and other related issues in every individual. Furthermore, due to the rampant use of the internet, cyber crimes are on the rise. Besides, cyber-bullying, in the disguise of making new acquaintances and initiating interactions, has become a reality. While celebrities are continually becoming the butt of vehement jokes or receiving threats, common people are sometimes forced to commit suicide when intimate videos/photographs or conversations are made viral on social media. However, in case of emergencies like the recent pandemic or inability to return home during festivities, online communication can partially satisfy the urge to be a part of the family. Social platforms like Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram, and others have made connecting with others easier. Sadly, most of these relations have no merit as they lead to deception. Therefore, it can be concluded that real-time relationships and communications can be detrimental to human interactions. It can damage our health as well as pose a safety threat. Thus, these must be used appropriately and wisely or can cause havoc in our lives.
