Topic: New household appliances have resulted in more free time for women and have enabled them to both work and run a home with dependent children. What are the advantages for a family when the mother works? Do you think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages?

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

Modern women now have the opportunity to take care of their families. While still pursuing their professional goals thanks to the development of improved technology. This way of living has a number of potential advantages. It is impossible to say whether this has more negative aspects than positive ones, though.

The primary benefit of working for a living for women is that it allows them to support their families financially. While also taking care of their dependent children. By providing their kids with better resources like nice clothes and study materials, they might be able to support their kids. Additionally, they may be able to buy comforts like a car or a new home and make a sizable contribution to the family's budget. The improvement in family standing is the second obvious benefit. Families where both parents are employed are perceived to have higher social standing.

The hardest difficulty a working woman is likely to encounter is striking the right balance between her obligations to her family and her career. For instance, the majority of women work in toxic environments with higher levels of stress and strain. They would find it very challenging to spend quality time with their family in this situation. The field of child parenting presents the next obstacle. Many children in households where the mother works get insufficient attention, which may have a negative impact on their physical and emotional health.

For instance, individuals could experience issues like obesity or malnutrition. Some people are sometimes perceived as being cut off from society, as shown by issues like social phobia.

In conclusion, it is evident that women who work and take care of their families concurrently benefit in observable ways. It is not without criticism, though, since there are some grave repercussions for their way of life. In this case, it is difficult to determine whether the drawbacks outweigh the benefits.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

These days, thanks to the development of contemporary domestic appliances, technology has completely changed and streamlined the lives of women. They could manage both home and work simultaneously with the aid of the new equipment. Numerous people think that families are financially. A different segment of society, however, has a different viewpoint. This essay would discuss both points of view before coming to a decision.

To start, it is undeniable that technology has allowed women to broaden their horizons and see the world. For instance, whereas before a woman would spend practically the entire day performing home activities. New equipment has made this possible to complete in only half the time. Additionally, it has given them the opportunity to work more and support their family financially. As a result, increased income helps households' financial situation. Second, by encouraging more and more women to travel and compete alongside males in today's competitive environment. This stream can help close the gender gap.

On the other hand, this trend has certain negative effects on a child's life, to start. In other words, there wouldn't be enough time for the rearing of their children if both parents worked. Even though modern technology can replace women in household responsibilities, it cannot replace the role of a mother. As a result, mothers who work neglect their children, leaving students with a sense of loneliness. Furthermore, if their parents don't support and pay attention to them at the appropriate times. This will cause them to take the incorrect courses. As a result, it influences the child's personality.

In conclusion, technology is a fine servant but a horrible master, and this is an obvious fact. Although it improves families' financial situation, it also has an impact on adolescents' impressionable minds. Therefore, in my opinion, the disadvantages outweigh the benefits because having wealthy parents is less significant than having healthy toddlers.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

Many women are now able to take care of their families and jobs thanks to the development of sophisticated home equipment. The family will undoubtedly gain from this because the extra money will help the household's financial situation. However, I believe that working women must put in a lot of effort and sacrifice. While I don't believe that working has more drawbacks than benefits, I do believe that working women should have a support system at home.

The family benefits the most when women work. Their standard of living will rise as a result of the greater money. It goes without saying that families with two earning parents can afford to purchase a home and a vehicle. They can also guarantee their kids' future success by enrolling them in reputable schools. Of course, having a job has many advantages for women.

On the other hand, working women must exert a lot of effort to complete all of their tasks. A working woman must take care of family duties in addition to earning a living. Unlike men who merely need to make ends meet. She must, for instance, cook, clean, and wash. She has to provide food for the kids and assist with their homework. She must also look after her hubby. Even though appliances like refrigerators and washing machines have made some household tasks easier, they still take a lot of time to complete. As a result, a working woman has little time for herself. Her day begins early, so she won't be able to sleep until the rest of the family has gone to bed. Unfortunately, the increased stress has a negative impact on her happiness and health.

The economic well-being of a family increases without a doubt when women work. A woman finds it difficult to balance a work and a home. And the extra responsibility has an impact on her health and happiness. Therefore, it is essential that she get her husband's full support as she manages home duties.
