Topic: Water Sports
Question 1: What water sports are you interested in?
Answer: Swimming has always attracted me as a water sport. Initially, I came to know about swimming by watching it in the Olympics when I was about 5 years old. As I was born in a city, there were almost no ponds or small rivers where I could learn to swim. So, I trained under a professional for 6 months. In the beginning, it was tough I must say. But once you get used to it, it is really fun. Apart from swimming, surfing is my favorite. Though I have had the amazing experience of surfing only thrice and failed miserably in all those; still it never fails to attract me. Surfing is like riding the waves. It gives immense pleasure to watch a professional ride in one of those big waves which people are generally afraid of, with a surfing board. I always wonder about the satisfaction level one must get after surfing over a big sea wave. Currently, the Guinness Book record for the largest wave surfed (unlimited) is 24.38 meters (80 ft). This was achieved by Rodrigo Koxa of Brazil. Diving, water skiing, kayaking, sailing are some other water sports that I am interested in.

Question 2: Have you done water sports?
Answer: As I have already mentioned, I had trained under a professional for almost 6 months in swimming. I have also tried my luck in surfing several times. It didn't go well for me though. I almost broke my right shoulder trying to surf. Apart from these, once I had done scuba diving. It was a great experience. Watching the livings under the coat of blue water was mesmerizing. It gave me a whole new perspective to look at things. When I was in goa, I had the chance to go jet skiing. Though it was not for a long time, I still enjoyed it very much. So yeah, I have had the opportunity to do many water sports. Someday in the future, I would like to do canoeing and kayaking too.

We have many rivers in our country where river rafting is a common water sport. Other than that, scuba diving, banana tube boat ride, kayaking, undersea walking, jet skiing are some water sports that are getting quite famous in the country. Most people engage in watersports while they are on vacation or in their leisure time. Question 4: What other water sports would you like to try?
Answer: Kayaking is the one water sport that I have always wanted to try. I have always liked adventure sports and kayaking I think is a top-notch adventure sport. And though I have tried scuba diving once already, I would like to do it again. Sea walking is getting very much attention as a water sport these days. I have seen some documentaries regarding sea walking. While sea walking, it seems like another world under the sea. The photographs shown in those documentaries were so beautiful. There was mention of some dangerous creatures too. But as far as I have known, strict safety measures are taken before allowing anyone to go for sea walking. So, it's a safe water sport I guess. So yeah, I want to try a lot of water sports. But, kayaking, scuba diving, and sea walking top the list for now.
