Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

The invention of computers has particularly contributed to the enormous growth of technology. Many people argue that there are more benefits than drawbacks for minors who regularly use computers. I disagree with the given statement since frequent computer use has more harmful impacts on children's health than positive ones.

To start, even if computers are the best technical device, they will inevitably have negative impacts. First of all, daily computer use by children is bad for their eyes. A person's eyesight will undoubtedly suffer if they spend a lot of time looking at a computer screen, as the damaging rays it emits are known to do. In addition, students primarily use computers today for gaming and viewing movies. This can cause obesity because people eat a lot of the junk food that is placed in front of them, which causes kids to become couch potatoes. For instance, a 2008 study found that excessive use of gadgets, including computers, was the cause of the stoutness of more than 82% of kids in the USA. On the other hand, a small percentage of people believe that computers are good for their children since they widen their knowledge base. However, this is only achievable if it is used appropriately. Additionally, computers assist students with their projects and other schoolwork. Computers have countless advantages. But how well they are used relies on the individual. For instance, kids can complete a lot more homework thanks to the development of computers. In summary, while proper use of computers can be shown to be beneficial. Excessive and incorrect use can have negative consequences on young people's health.

These days, more and more people are using technology and computers. Additionally, as part of the COVID-19 requirement virtually every class has a computer, iPad, or laptop. We are also using it for teaching in what is known as an "Online Class." Everything in this world has two sides, which I firmly believe. By taking into account the evident agreement and disagreement in this manner, I will evaluate these questions below. First and foremost, it is our responsibility as adults to explain to the children how computers and other technology actually function.

How much time a day it would take, and how to use it correctly. Three key advantages come from this. The internet is a vast universe and a major source of information, so using it for education and research makes sense first. Second, utilise it to unwind by engaging in leisure activities. Such as playing games, viewing movies and television shows, and using social media to speak with friends. Additionally, it brings people from different cultures together. if you have relatives or friends from another country that reside halfway around the globe. There are a number of substantial drawbacks. The biggest drawback is that when it's used improperly, it might have an immediate negative impact on children. The future occupations of children are impacted. For example, by using laptops while in class and focusing on video games rather than the lecturer. Additionally, the social media world encourages people to be lazier and to avoid really meeting new people. For instance, fewer people go shopping alone as a result of online purchasing. Or, food delivery encourages people to dine at home rather than going out to a restaurant. In conclusion, even if using computers for schoolwork may be advantageous for kids. If we can't properly supervise them, we have to watch the kids and educate them on how.

Band 8.5 IELTS Essay

Over the past 20 years, information technology has spread around the globe. Therefore, some individuals believe that spending time on computers can have more negative consequences on kids than favourable ones. I personally agree with this idea. However, to a certain extent, I do think it can also have favourable impacts at any level, as explained below. First of all, if they use computers constantly, kids can develop a computer addiction. Toddlers are as a result playing games and engaging in other activities.

Internet activities include surfing, communicating with friends, and many others. They are influenced to spend an hour in front of these devices. At a young age, it can start important health concerns on them, such as eye and spiral difficulties. For instance, according to one report, excessive laptop use is having a negative impact on the health of 9 out of 10 young people. Second, as far as their social lives go, adolescents can experience social isolation. Additionally, kids may take some wrong turns if they spend all of their time on these electronics. Despite encouraging or assisting them in leading successful professional lives and interesting social lives. A child, for instance, can simply communicate with his friends or classmates using these devices. Therefore, they may easily avoid going out or really meeting them by clicking a few buttons. In addition, 60% of students have antisocial disorders as a result of these unfavourable effects of information technology. However, as long as they are used for learning or studying, using the PC wisely can be incredibly advantageous for kids. Computers can store a large variety of information, which, if used by teens to explore something original and different. It might help them become knowledgeable individuals later in life. The conclusion is that, as previously stated, computers are creating more detrimental than good effects. However, they can also have positive benefits on young children when used properly.
