Band 7 IELTS Essay

Throughout a person's entire career, a university education is thought to be the most expensive. Several times, it has been demanded that all people receive a free university education. Every person will be able to access the advanced education they require if university education is made more accessible. I would present my case in the preceding sections of this essay for why I believe that this could ultimately be a beneficial and revolutionary action. First and foremost, I want to stress how expensive a university education can be and how not everyone will be able to afford it.

Even if a family is well-established and makes a good living, attending university may cost them a sizable sum of money, necessitating the family's use of student loans to pay their education. Additionally, the cost of books, lodging, food, and other requirements is not covered by the tuition. These astronomical school costs could be a financial nightmare as a result. Similarly to this, increasing the cost of higher education leads to an increase in everyone's access to it. For instance, several public universities across Europe charge nothing for their courses. Indicators such as a high per capita income, a high happiness index, and low tax evasion rates are also present in these countries, which include Sweden, Germany, and Finland. These countries also have very high educated rates.

In addition to improving educational options throughout the nation, making higher education free has a positive direct and indirect impact on a number of lifestyle variables in Germany. Some contend that having a high rate of education benefits nations and governments generally, while others claim that providing free university education to everyone might fall under the purview of the government. I consider it unethical to gain money at the expense of the future of a deserving person because there are other methods to do so. Furthermore, there are simply too many benefits of free higher education to ignore. Therefore, all students should have access to free higher education with the knowledge that neither the nation nor the students stand to gain financially from it.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

In today's world, having a tertiary education certification is a must. Universities, it is often held, should not charge any fees at all. I strongly agree with the offered idea, and I will defend my position in the following lines. To begin with the agreement side, giving free tertiary education can improve a country's overall education level. To clarify, free education will encourage an increasing number of students to enrol in university courses.

Students who cannot afford to pay university tuition and instead choose to work after high school will have the possibility to pursue their education. A country's education will improve as more students enrol in institutions. Furthermore, giving free university education can contribute to a country's economic prosperity. To be clear, university graduates often have a pay scale that is substantially higher than that of high school graduates, as university students have received specialised education in a certain profession and have polished their talents within that sector. By making tertiary education free, more students will enrol and specialize in a certain field, increasing their chances of landing a well-paying job. It will eventually aid the country's economic development. On the other hand, if higher education is offered for free, students may take it for granted and begin to disregard their responsibilities. Because students have not paid any fees and are not losing any money by dropping out, the number of university dropouts will rise. Students may be persuaded by their friends' negative influence and become involved in unethical activities such as bullying or drug trafficking without fear of expulsion because they have not paid any tuition. To summarise, giving free tertiary education can assist a country in reaching higher heights in terms of education and economics, but it may come at the cost of students not taking free education seriously due to the lack of costs.

Band 6 IELTS Essay

University education is regarded to be the most expensive part of a person's whole career. There have been recurrent calls for making university education accessible to all people. Making university education more accessible will guarantee that everyone has access to the advanced knowledge they require. In the long run, I believe this might be a beneficial and revolutionary move, and I will argue my case in the preceding portions of this article.

To begin with, providing free higher education has the potential to raise a country's total education level. To explain, free education will encourage more students to enrol in university courses. Students who cannot afford university tuition and instead prefer to work after graduation will be able to continue their studies. In addition to that, I'd like to emphasise that a university degree costs a significant amount of money, which not everyone can afford. Even if a family is well-established and earns well, a university education may cost them a significant amount of money, requiring the family to take out school loans to complete their degree. Similarly, increasing the affordability of university education leads to a wave of universal access to higher education. Many European public institutions, for example, charge no tuition for their courses. Sweden, Germany, and Finland, for example, have a very high educated rate, as well as other characteristics like a high per capita income, a high happiness index, and low tax evasion rates. Furthermore, providing free university education may help a country's economy thrive. To be clear, university graduates frequently earn far more than high school graduates, because university students have received specialised education in a certain field and have honed their skills in that field. More students will enrol and specialise in a certain profession if higher education is made free, enhancing their chances of finding a well-paying job. It will eventually contribute to the country's economic growth. To summarise, there are a number of advantages if university education is given free to individuals globally.
