Band 6 IELTS Essay

The chance to pursue a university education is growing in popularity as the world progresses. This has caused many people to wonder whether the rising graduation rate is a trend for the better. Some people, however, hold the opinion that universities perform other tasks besides merely offering job prospects. In my perspective, I concur with the idea of pursuing higher education for an individual's overall development. First off, a lot of individuals believe that the increasing number of university graduates nowadays does more harm than good.

For instance, there is intense rivalry for desirable job positions in the engineering field. Due to this, the majority of engineering graduates in India must wait to find employment. However, some disciplines offer a wider range of employment opportunities. This illustration makes it obvious that obtaining a higher education is a prerequisite to unemployment. And demonstrates a disparity that exists in every region of the world. On the other side, there are those people who think that a university degree is extremely important to a person's life. Students who pursue higher education are better able to realise their full potential and are given access to a wide range of options. For example, a study from Oxford University has shown that 60% of college students have several talents. The student's analytical and logical skills are also strengthened as a result of their tertiary education. It ends up preparing them to face any obstacles they may face in the future. The institution should therefore concentrate more on teaching students. I claim that higher education is crucial for a person's total growth in my concluding statement. Universities should, however, periodically update their curricula to reflect market demands. And conduct awareness campaigns to inform students about a variety of study areas so they can develop a variety of abilities.

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

A sizable percentage of students today pursue higher education. While some consider this to be a positive trend. Others believe that people with greater education would upset the delicate balance of society. But in order to receive a well-organised education, in my opinion, everyone should enrol in college. On the one hand, those who disagree contend that if there are more educated people, no one will be left to perform manual labour anywhere in the globe. Someone who has graduated would not want to work requiring physical strength.

Therefore, tasks like debris collection and construction work would go unmet. Additionally, an increase in the number of job seekers would result in higher unemployment rates in society. Due to the restricted number of those occupations that are available. As a result, before more people are given degrees, a few things need to be taken into account. However, educated people look for alternative methods to the traditional one when doing their jobs. When a graduate person is involved with a task, they frequently look for simpler ways to complete it. For instance, waste collectors are a result of modern inventions. Construction work can be completed without the use of various forms of machinery or contact with people. Therefore, educated individuals are constantly looking for innovative ways to complete tasks in a more convenient manner. Additionally, if no one is left to perform the physical labour, businesses will attempt to develop technology to replace it with a machine. It undoubtedly will lead to the creation of more job prospects. In conclusion, some people are concerned that everyone who is pursuing a university education will neglect the job that requires physical labour. However, I think a culture that values education will develop fresh approaches to completing such jobs without involving other people.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Universities now provide formal education which is an essential component of every community. Some people believe that colleges are producing more graduates than necessary and that the value placed on formal university education needs to be reduced. Others argue that formal education plays an extremely vital role in any society. I shall talk about how important a university education is for students in this essay. There are restrictions on the advantages offered, despite the fact that a university degree is crucial for everyone.

The first benefit is that it educates students to find employment rather than to create it when they leave school. For instance, it is a well-known fact that the majority of professional courses equip students with the skills necessary to work in their chosen industries. Second, it offers a uniform curriculum to everyone, regardless of their interests. It could lead to some students cramming the material in order to do well on university examinations rather than for the love of learning it. Above all, universities have been so busy producing graduates that the supply of qualified graduates currently outpaces demand, leaving many graduates jobless. On the other hand, a university education is just one of many elements that affect a person's life more than others. One of the most important market factors is employability, which is occasionally reached by the general population without the use of formal education. A person's practical abilities, not simply their academic knowledge, need to be developed; this is also something that needs to be stressed. For instance, it is common practice for many tutees to enrol in vocational school following graduation in order to gain experience in-person in their industry. In addition, it is said that formal education will enable us to support ourselves while self-education will enable us to become extremely wealthy. To sum up, even though a person's university degree plays a significant influence in determining their success. There are far more critical elements that also have a major impact. Additionally, it is anticipated that self-education will become more popular as a result of technical progress.
