Band 8 IELTS Answer

The differences between the energies which are formed from multiple origins has been portrayed in the above two given pie charts. This includes oil, hydrogen, natural gas, coal, and other renewable energy sources. A comparison between the two years is displayed. The use of resources was consistent between the two years. There is a sizable void.

In the two provided pie charts, the percentage of energy produced from various sources from 1985 to 2003 is compared. Further observation reveals that while some energy output has increased over time, others have declined. The rise in population has also been linked to an increase in energy use. All factors rise together with the population. The population affects the amount of food and energy consumed.

Oil remained the primary energy source throughout this time, but utilisation fell from little over 50% in 1985 to only 25% in 2003. Over this time, nuclear power usage also fell from 225 to 17%. While since the beginning, coal use has increased. All industrial and building activities use coal as a medium. Electricity is still not used in all industries.

Similar to how natural gas output rose from 13% to 23% between 1985 and 2003, energy consumption has increased. Between 1985 and 2003, coal production rose from 8% to 13%. From 1985 to 2003, the production of other renewable gases increased as well, from 1% to 4%. However, it's interesting to note that the overall 4% hydrogen generation rate has remained constant. Use of hydrogen has never gone up or down. It has consistently been impartial.

Globally, oil was used to produce the most energy in the years 1985 and 2003. Hydrogen and other renewable grass sources produced the least amount of energy. However, over time, it will result in the depletion of natural resources. Economic imbalance will result from resource misuse.

Band 6 IELTS Answer

The two pie charts show the percentage of energy produced from different sources of energy. There is a contrast shown between both the pie charts. The leftmost chart shows the percentage of energy production in 1985, and the rightmost pie chart shows the percentage of energy produced in 2003.
It can be seen that the production of oil has decreased by 13% in 2003 (59% in 1985, and 39% in 2003). Nuclear production has also decreased from 22% in 1985, to 17% in 2003. Although the production of hydrogen has remained the same over the years. Nuclear energy is not getting as much attention as the old sources of energy.
The production of energies like coal, Natural gas, and other renewables have increased, like, the Coal has increased from 8% in 1985 to 13%. In 2003, Natural gas increased from 13% in 1985 to 23% in 2003. And the other renewable energies have increased from 1% in 1985 to 4% in 2003. Hydrogen is not considered the best mode of energy or resources. But the overuse of other resources led to environmental imbalance. Also, the overuse of coal will lead to depletion of natural resources. Gas is used upto same extent as coal is used. Industries have been using the same old and traditional manufacturing medium. Industries are using coal and petroleum for the manufacturing purposes. These all might lead to resource depletion. These are increasing warnings regarding the environmental factors.
In short, the production of energy from oil has been the maximum in both the years 1985 and 2003. The production of energy from hydrogen and other renewable gasses is the minimum in both the years 1985 and 2003. The charts and the resources used show a threat to the environment. Government must take initiatives to stop the use of such resources.

Band 6.5 IELTS Answer

The given two pie charts draw the difference between the production of energy from different resources of energy, over 18 years from 1985 to 2003. There are seven different sources and the percentage of energy produced from each has been given. In the form of a pie chart from the two years of a particular country.
It is well understood that usage of some of the sources to produce energy has increased over this period, whereas others have decreased. The major amount of energy was produced from oil, and the least amount of energy was produced by Hydrogen. And other renewable sources from 1985 to 2003. The major source of energy production is Oil. Around 52% of the energy was produced from oil in 1983, which further decreased to 39% in 2003. So, the production of energy from oil fell by almost 13%. There has been a similar decrease in the production of energy from nuclear sources. The energy produced from nuclear fell by 5%, that is, the production of energy from nuclear in 1985 was 22%, which fell to 17% in 2003.
On the other side, there is an increase in the production of energy from some of the resources. As the production of energy from natural gas has increased by 10%, that is the production of energy from natural gas increased from 13% in 1985 to 23% in 2003. And the production of energy from coal is also seen to be increased from 8% to 13% with the span of 1985 to 2003.
There has been an interesting fact, that is, the production of energy from hydrogen has remained constant (4%) through the years 1985 to 2003. But the production of energy from other renewable sources has increased 4 times that of it, from 1% in 1985 to 4% in 2003.
