Trust - IELTS Speaking Part 1
Q 1. Who do you trust the most?
Answer: To trust someone means that you can rely on that person with no doubts. Many would advise you to trust those whom you know for many years or eons. Many would trust those people who are honest and faithful. There could be an n-number of reasons which would justify the grounds of trusting anyone. In general, we trust our parents and rely on them for guidance. Similar is my case. I completely trust my parents. They are my confidants with whom I can share my secrets and my problems. Besides sharing a mutual understanding with my parents, they are even my mentors who guide me through my toughest times and inspires me to hold back during an unsought situation
In addition, I completely trust my friends. Every individual has some friends on whom they can rely. Friends can completely apprehend your situation and can help you to wade through the ocean of issues. Thus, in my case, I trust my dear and near ones who cared and supported me through my hard times.

Q2. Have you ever lost trust in someone?
Answer: If you trust someone you are faithful towards them. You share every emotion, feeling, and secrecy with them as you are assured that they will respect your emotion and feelings. But we cannot simply judge someone as trustworthy simply by his or her appearance. As we all are aware that appearances can be deceiving and simply judging some with appearance is the horrendous thing which you do to yourself. This is what happened in my case. I trusted and considered my friend as my confidant but she kept on ignoring me as if I was of no use to her.
Trust is that sought-after emotion that is evolved through mutual understanding. It's an abstract feeling which makes us more relaxed and feel at ease. We all have often encountered a person who might have broken our trust. So do I. I had a friend in my school days whom I trusted a lot. She was my confidant and I could share all my problems with her. But she didn't respect our friendship. For her, it was just a benefit to be my friend. Later, as we continued our studies in higher grades she ignored me and let out my secret in public. She didn't respect my feelings and embarrassed our so-called friendship. Thus, trusting someone is not an easy task. You should be able to grasp the intention of the opposite person before you develop the feeling of trust.
Vocabulary:
Example- My parents are my confidant.
For Example- the Americans can still feel the horrendous pangs of the 9/11 attack.
Q3. What kind of people do you trust?
Answer: We cannot generally define people who we can trust. But most of us trust our family and the loved ones we are surrounded by. It is difficult to trust someone new to our surroundings. Thus, to develop trust you need to share a mutual understanding. Moreover, trusting is not all about formulating a mutual understanding rather trust is more than that. The relentless support, no expectations of receiving something for your support, and perpetual confidence in you are all about trust, and I think these qualities are the hallmark of every family.
According to me, there are some criteria which one needs to check before judging anyone. First of all, you should trust those who are with you in your difficult times. Not everybody would stay with you in your difficult times. Trustworthy people stay with you in your downtime. Secondly, people who show empathy and have self-respect in their life. Thirdly, you should trust those people who trust and care in the same way as you trust and care for them.
