Topic: The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

Band 7 Answer

The bar graph shows the proportion of people who bought and consumed coffee and tea in the previous four weeks. In five different Australian cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Hobart.

With the exception of Adelaide, it is clear that going to a café to drink coffee or tea was the most typical behavior. Additionally, in all cities, a greater proportion of consumers bought instant coffee than they did fresh coffee.

In comparison to Melbourne, Sydney had a slightly lower percentage of people who drank tea or coffee in a café. At around 61%, while Melbourne had a slightly higher percentage, at about 63%. While over 45% of Sydney and Melbourne residents bought instant coffee frequently. Just 44% and 43%, respectively, of residents in these two cities bought fresh coffee.

Brisbane came in second with more than 55%, Sydney came in third with less than 50%, and Adelaide came in last with just over 60%. Only in Adelaide did consumers purchase somewhat more instant coffee (by 50%).

For all cities, buying fresh coffee in bulk was below 45%. In Sydney (44%) and Melbourne (42%), it was most prevalent. Adelaide and Brisbane were substantially lower and practically even at roughly 34%, while Hobart was next at 39%.

Moving on to the other cities, Hobart had the highest percentage of people drinking coffee or tea in a café. With Brisbane and Adelaide coming in at roughly 51% and 49%, respectively. However, Hobart is the city where people most frequently purchase instant coffee. This habit is practiced by around 55% of the populace, which is about 3% greater than in Brisbane. The tendency of purchasing instant coffee is widespread (45 and 48%, respectively) in Melbourne and Sydney as well. Where the majority of fresh coffee customers are. Fresh coffee is purchased in 43 and 44 percent of households in these cities, compared to about 35 percent in Adelaide and Brisbane. Band 8 Answer

The presented bar graph displays trends in tea and coffee consumption during a four-week period in five Australian cities. It is clear that in every city, with the exception of Brisbane and Adelaide. A much higher percentage of people went to a café for tea or coffee than those who bought fresh or instant coffee. While it was barely greater in Brisbane than the proportion of individuals who bought instant coffee. It was actually lower in Adelaide than the number of people who drank instant coffee.

Fresh coffee purchases were not as common in any of the five cities as instant coffee purchases or going to a cafe. Sydney had the largest proportion of consumers buying fresh coffee, with Brisbane and Adelaide having the lowest percentages (less than 35%). Between 55 and 60 percent of people in Brisbane and Hobart reported drinking instant coffee. It was also far more popular than fresh coffee in the other cities. In practically all cities, going to a café to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee is by far the most common way to consume such beverages. With buying instant coffee and fresh coffee coming in second and third, respectively, as can be seen from the chart. There is only one exception, and it pertains to Adelaide City, where instant coffee is preferred over the other two methods. Furthermore, the percentage of city dwellers who purchased instant coffee ranged from approximately 45% to roughly 55%. The percentage of people who said they would go out for coffee or tea was between 50% and 64%.

Furthermore, Sydney and Melbourne showed nearly identical patterns of coffee and tea consumption. Additionally, this behavior was essentially the same in Brisbane and Adelaide. But there was a clear distinction that was connected to the citizens of these two cities' top priorities. Last but not least, there was little to no overlap between Hobart's proportion of coffee or tea users with any city's consumption patterns.
