It is common for people travelling alone to be unfamiliar with the places to visit and waste a lot of time trying to find something worthwhile to see. As well, tour guides provide information that is not commonly found in books or brochures about a particular place. Consequently, guided tours are the best way to see a lot in a short period of time. The second advantage of travelling in a group is that it can ensure your safety. Travelling alone is quite dangerous in many parts of the world. It is common for people with evil intentions to wait to harm tourists. A homeless person once stole my friend's passport and wallet when she was backpacking across Europe by herself. It was necessary for her to contact the embassy and deal with the situation. Due to circumstances beyond her control, she was not able to complete her trip, which would have been an opportunity to spend time with herself. It is possible for tour guides to protect their group members from such dangerous situations when they are travelling with their groups. I strongly agree with the idea that travelling with a guide is the greatest way to get great information and to be protected, although some people disagree.

There are advantages to travelling with good companions, including safety, less cost, more adventure, and greater enjoyment.
