Band 6 IELTS Essay

The development of technology has caused both a change in lifestyle expectations and the traditional skills of the past that are quickly becoming obsolete in many nations around the world. Many people think it is pointless to make an effort to preserve the more antiquated and conventional skills. Traditional techniques and skills, however, cannot, in my opinion, be viewed as being useless in the age of modern technology. Traditional skills are being lost worldwide as a result of the influence of modern technologies, according to research on the subject. Modern technology makes use of a variety of methods, necessitating a higher level of education and professional experience to use.

Traditional skills that might not be able to support new, time-consuming, and less lucrative modern technologies are quickly going out of style. The textile industry, which used to be hand-woven or knit, provides one such example. The creation of clothing can now be automated, resulting in the production of millions of garments in a shorter amount of time. Local weavers and artisans have suffered as a result, but brands have been able to improve their market position and popularity. In contrast, it's critical to comprehend the value of traditional skills, which are nonetheless crucial in today's society.

Because people's ideas and thoughts were more innovative in traditional times with traditional skills, brands were able to enter the modern dynamic world. People are better able to comprehend concepts and learn about building a better community with the aid of traditional skills and ways of life, which is crucial for utilising modern technologies. Given the principles and ideals that contemporary technologies must adhere to in order to fulfil their respective purposes, the traditional way of life is crucial and will continue to exist in the world. For instance, modern technology has made it possible for better forms of communication to exist alongside the values of maintaining a high level of connection with our family and loved ones. The acceptance of traditional skills and ways of life therefore still binds the modern era and is therefore not dying out, despite the fact that modern technologies have diminished throughout the current society.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

In many countries of the world, technological advances have been leading to changing requirements as well as changes in the need for skills. Old and traditional skills and way of life are considered to be replaced by modern technologies and many believe that putting effort in order to save traditional skills is unnecessary.

However, in my opinion, traditional skills and techniques cannot be considered pointless with the development of modern technologies. In lieu of modern technologies, traditional skills are being considered pointless solely because many believe that traditional skills and beliefs are not important. Although modern technologies utilise different techniques, traditional skills are based on certain values and beliefs which cannot be undermined. One example can be found in the automobile industry which has been changing from fuel-based cars and vehicles to hybrid or electric cars as a means to protect the environment from pollution, cater to consumers’ technological needs, and reduce carbon footprint. This proves that modern technology in this sector might not require traditional skills. In contrast, it is important to understand the value of traditional skills which are still important in India. The ideas and thoughts of people in India are much more inclined towards cooperation and collective working which is important in the different industries. Sustainability has taken its shape in the form of supporting local artisans. With the help of modern ideas, and innovative designs, support to local artisans is increasing in the country whether for fashion, decor, or even for jewelry. The traditional way of life remains in the world considering the values and beliefs that people in India still believe in and follow even through their modern ways of lifestyle. modern technologies are focused on achieving their respective goals. For instance, modern technology has enabled better ways of communication in the form of social media allowing local artisans to prosper in the country although it is a long way for them to relieve themselves from hardships. Thus, although modern technologies might have become popular in society, traditional skills and ways of life in some ways or others still remain in the hearts of the people.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

In many countries of the world, changing requirements as well as change in the need for skills has been fostered by modern technological advances. Old and traditional skills and ways of life are finding their way towards obsoletion and it has become difficult to conjure the same. Many believe that it is pointless to even consider traditional skills in the modern world and way of life.

However, I believe that traditional skills and techniques are less important in the world considering the changing lifestyle due to modern technologies. Advances in technologies can be considered to have proven beneficial. It has enabled better communication, resulting in an environment where economic growth is fostered and relationships are also strengthening. Traditional skills are based on certain values and beliefs that can be considered to be of limited value in the current world. For instance, the advent of the internet has enabled people to focus on the aspect of being able to conduct different activities without any hassle. From searching for information to using Google Maps and even communicating through social media would not have been possible if traditional ways of life existed. This proves that modern technology in this sector might not require traditional skills. With the help of modern ideas, and innovative designs, it is possible for different businesses to gain a competitive advantage, technological developments have fostered the pattern of education in the country as well as it has allowed people to remain in connection with world affairs. Traditional ways of life and skills can be considered essential in terms of the values and beliefs that people hold from generations in order to foster through business operations although, even those are being endured by modern technologies. Whether traditional skills become obsolete or not, accepting modern technologies is in my opinion essential to remain progressive in one’s life.
