Band 8 IELTS Essay

A sedentary lifestyle and excessive levels of stress are now contributing factors in an ever-increasing number of people's health problems. Some argue that we should return to using traditional medicines since they can often address these health issues. I concur with this opinion. I believe that many ailments that modern medicine is unable to treat can be treated with traditional medicine.

First off, modern living and working practices have produced a climate of undue stress and strain, particularly among urbanites. The body is severely harmed by insufficient physical activity and frequent consumption of processed foods. As a result, if chronic diseases like cancer and diabetes are not appropriately detected in the early stages, people are more likely to develop them. For instance, allopathic medicine still considers brain and liver cancer incurable, and a breakthrough treatment is not yet in sight. People who have used alternative ways, on the other hand, were of the opinion that there are no negative consequences on the human body. An excellent illustration is the need for someone with stomach acid disease. To take several medications prior to eating, which might be harmful to their healthy kidneys. However, if individuals are persistent with their Tai chi practice and herbal tea consumption, they should not be concerned about any negative side effects.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise that some people have begun promoting a transfer from allopathy to traditional medicines. Due to the latter's shown track record of effectively treating serious health issues without creating many side effects. In other words, these herbal remedies don't damage the body by having negative impacts on other organs while they're being used. This is due to the fact that traditional medical practices from long ago, like Ayurveda, heal the body completely and tackle the cause of illness. To make a point, it has been clinically demonstrated that Cuticurin. A compound found in the root of the turmeric plant, is effective in attacking certain cancer cells in the body while sparing healthy cells. By comparison, current methods like chemotherapy have hazardous side effects.

Due to advancement of medical research and development of medicine people believe more in modern medicine. This has been a topic for debate for a very long time. An rising number of people's health issues are now being attributed to sedentary lifestyles and high levels of stress. Some contend that since traditional medications can frequently address these health conditions, we should go back to using them. I agree with this viewpoint. I think traditional medicine can treat a lot of conditions that contemporary medicine is unable to.

First of all, urban dwellers in particular are under excessive stress and pressure due to modern living and working methods. Insufficient physical activity and frequent consumption of processed meals seriously impair health. As a result, people are more likely to develop chronic diseases like cancer and diabetes if they are not properly identified in the early stages. For instance, brain and liver cancer are still regarded as incurable by allopathic medicine, and a breakthrough therapy is yet a ways off. People want immediate results and relief. While the traditional medicine always took time to have an effect on the body to get relief. But it also had no side effects or less side effects. So it shouldn't be shocking that some are now advocating a switch from allopathy to traditional medicine. owing to the latter's shown ability to address significant health concerns without producing a lot of adverse effects. To put it another way, using these herbal medicines doesn't harm the body by having an adverse effect on other organs. This is because ancient traditional medical treatments, like Ayurveda, thoroughly heal the body and address the root of illness.

In conclusion, people must adopt traditional medicine to cure diseases. Nowadays, many diseases can be cured without medicine. Such methods involve therapies, yoga and meditation. It has been scientifically proven that yoga is capable of healing many dangerous diseases.
