The oil consumption is supposed to peak in 2025 whereby the anticipation for the USA in 2025 is for a decrease in consumption lower than 8 million barrels. This is in comparison with the Middle East and Western Europe and Japan. The latter’s consumption of oil is supposed to increase in 2030 to 3 million barrels of oil per day. While Japan has been experiencing a decline in oil consumption since 2010 and the decline peaked in 2015 with around only 2 million barrels per day. Further, by 2030, oil consumption in Western Europe and Japan would decline up to 1 million barrels per day. For the US, the decline would come down to 6 million barrels per day by 2030.
