Topic: Today, the life expectancy of people is much higher than before Some people think that older people should continue to be involved in the workforce. To what extent do u agree or disagree

Band 7.5 Answer

Due to the increased average life expectancy, some people think that senior adults should remain employed rather than retire. This article disagrees with this idea since there are fewer opportunities for today's youth to find employment. And because senior workers are becoming less capable of managing difficult work settings.

Senior persons should retire from the workforce primarily. Because their failing health status makes it impossible for them to participate in challenging employment situations. In today's competitive workplace, every person must be involved in order to establish a reputation. In industrialized nations, particularly in America, elderly citizens retire at the age of 60. Since they are aware of their ability to avoid working during a specific time frame unless doing so would prevent them from succeeding.

The biggest drawback is that older folks lack the necessary abilities to use current technology. In other words, people currently live in a contemporary, technologically advanced world. As a result, the older population will likely encounter issues including computer literacy and possibly linguistic hurdles. Because large teams nowadays need a variety of talents, including IT knowledge and communication skills. Furthermore, younger people than older people visit factories. Younger generations are more flexible, useful, and advantageous when the team must make decisions quickly.

The fact that there are already fewer career prospects for young people due to population growth is another contributing factor. If elderly workers continue to work after reaching a certain age. It would undoubtedly worsen the problem of unemployment among people. A recent study by the Times of America found that enabling elderly individuals to work in jobs. Had increased the unemployment rate by nearly 50% and reduced chances for adults. Older people must retire in order to give younger people chances.

The elderly who are permitted to work past the age of retirement are not suitable for the workplace due to declining health and fewer chances for adults.

Band 8 Answer

The average lifespan of people has been increasing at an unparalleled rate in the twenty-first century. Policymakers are now thinking about raising the retirement age for older workers as a result. While many people find that living longer is a nice change. I don't think it's a good idea for elderly people to continue working for a variety of reasons. Relating to their declining work performance and capacity to adopt new technology.

The two main elements influencing longevity are advances in medicine and a greater understanding of diet. For instance, nanotechnology is said to hold the key to curing any currently incurable diseases. Such as cancer, by allowing microscopic robots to be put into patients' bodies and repair all of their damaged organs. Today's population is also more cognizant of the value of a healthy diet, which can guarantee good health and, as a result, a longer lifespan.

However, raising the working population can be disastrous for businesses as well as for senior folks. The majority of those 65 and older, particularly in developing nations, are unable to continue performing at the same level as those who are younger. This would eventually have a number of unfavorable effects that damage both the aging workers' personal lives and the company's overall revenues. Additionally, a quick transition to new technologies is necessary in today's fast-paced world. And the aged may never be able to keep up with the younger generations in this regard. It is not an exaggeration to suggest that working in an environment where you are both physiologically. And technologically behind your younger coworkers is misery.

In conclusion, I am adamant that those beyond the age of the legal retirement age should not continue to work. Older persons can, to some extent, serve as advisors or instructors rather than the core labor force if the need for a workforce is urgent.

Band 8.5 Answer

Few people believe that the elderly should keep working. Because they believe that people nowadays can survive longer than they could in previous decades. This idea does not agree with me. My bias is further supported by arguments and instances.

The main justification for my position, to begin with, is that it might raise the youth unemployment rate. As a result, there are no openings for young people to join different companies. Because elderly adults are not declaring their retirement. There will be more brutal rivalry among the young people. Thus, despite their qualifications, many young people are unable to find employment. Big companies are also expected to make good money.

This is due to the elder age group's less effective adoption of modern technologies compared to the younger. Most members of the human race have shown respect to elderly persons. Nowadays, adults have the option to work in whatever field they choose. Additionally, they have the potential to become effective teachers in our community. While businessmen and other higher-ranking members of society. Have a significant advantage in receiving invaluable guidance and advice for improving their lives or careers as traders.Their productivity may suffer as a result of age-related illnesses. As a consequence, the business can't meet its criteria and generate lower earnings. For instance, the private corporation Intex only employs people over the age of 50. Since they are more capable of contributing to their flexible schedule and aid in reaching a financial goal.

I wouldn't, however, ignore the opposing viewpoint. Some say that a family's ability to maintain its financial stability has decreased. To elaborate, it would have been more crucial for them to continue working since they cannot afford the luxuries of modern living. For instance, many people continue to work in factories in India. A developing country, in order to fulfill their needs.

In conclusion, the unemployment rate and the decline in the economy are the major reasons. For disagreeing with this assertion, even though an improvement in financial stability influences the elderly to work.
