Topic: Today, people can work and live anywhere they want, because of the improvement of communication technology and transport. Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?

Band 7 IELTS Essay

The advancements in communication and transportation have raised our level of living, particularly in the area of workspaces and habitation. Thanks to these developments, we may now choose where we work and live with numerous advantages. But in my perspective there are still many issues and limitations.

There is no denying that the labor force nowadays has more options for their housing and location of employment. They can decide which area is best for their family to live in by taking into account the local climate, cost of living, and quality of life for their kids. They may also work for an organization located distant from home. Such as one located in a city area or an industrial zone. They can rely on advanced transportation systems, such as cutting-edge infrastructure, automobiles. And the metro system, to mention a few, to make it happen. Additionally, with the aid of the Internet and an online platform, individuals may work from home. In reality, among office workers, words like "teleconference" and "live meeting" are now commonplace.

In other words, physical separation is less likely to have an impact on where people work. And live as a result of advancements in transportation and communication.

But not everyone has the opportunity to work and live in a good area. First off, certain professions, like doctors and nurses, require in-person meetings. While menial laborers still must be present in factories to perform their jobs. The Internet and its apps are of little use to them in these situations. Additionally, many countries have insufficiently efficient transportation systems that result in a variety of problems. Including traffic jams and the wasting of time and resources on long commutes.

In general, I firmly feel that teleworking is only appropriate for specific employees and jobs. And that transportation is still an issue everywhere in the world.

In conclusion, even if people have more freedom in choosing where to work and where to build their homes. Additional steps must still be taken and technology advancements must be made.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

The introduction of the internet, networking technology, and improvements in transportation have made life easier for employees. I agree that these advancements have made it possible for workers to live and work anywhere in the world. While still being accessible to their employers, there are also some cons. I'll analyze both ideas in this essay and argue in favor of the earlier viewpoint.

The first is that global communication has dramatically improved. This is as a result of network providers introducing free voice and video calls. For instance, networks like Jio offer free voice calls to any other network. So neither the employers nor the workers who work from home need to be concerned about phone expenses. Additionally, a software program like Skype could be used to create the atmosphere of a meeting room. Where direct chats may be held if the entire squad wants to discuss the start of the project and work allocation.

Transportation is yet another development that has benefited the contemporary period. Trams, trains, vehicles, and aircraft, which have cut the travel time by an exponential number of hours, are to blame. For instance, a worker can now virtually attend a conference in the morning in Delhi, a meeting in the afternoon in Mumbai. And a meeting over dinner in Calcutta. Additionally, due to quick travel options like airlines. It is also possible to fly to a different time zone to check on work progress and return the same day.

The main problem with communication technology, on the other hand, is that some employers might contact or mail an urgent message. Without taking into account the employee's free time. Another drawback is that it will be challenging for workers to get along well with one another. The manager should be in charge of resolving these issues.

In conclusion, although working around your own schedule will retain staff motivation. And content as their work-life balancing would be gratifying. I do believe that employees may have some challenges with the advent of technology as employers may drop the task at any moment of the day.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

People may now live and work anywhere in the world thanks to technology advancements. Like the internet, wireless telephony, and speedier forms of transportation. The merits and benefits of this invention outweigh the emirates and drawbacks.

Living and working anywhere has undoubtedly many advantages. First of all, because of technological advancements, people have a wider range of employment options. Through telecommuting, they can work for any organization in any location around the world in addition to doing so from anywhere in their home nation. The time when employees needed to be physically present in the office to work is long past. They can now serve customers on other continents while remaining at home. Additionally, work has become simpler thanks to modern wireless technologies, freeing up more time for family and self. Even better, folks can work less hours each week while still completing jobs more quickly and with fewer effort.

The transportation industry has seen revolutionary upheaval as well. The trip time has decreased as a result of services like the metro. Additionally, it has made it possible for rural residents to work in urban areas. In the past, people had to relocate to cities in order to obtain employment. Now they can enjoy a peaceful country lifestyle while maintaining a successful urban profession. Cities are now less crowded and more livable as a result of this.

Of course, the flexibility to live and work anywhere has significant drawbacks. People have become less active as a result of this flexibility and convenience, which has contributed to various health issues. People are now more technologically dependent as a result. In actuality, a network or system failure now effectively puts an end to life. These modest downsides, nevertheless, are insignificant in light of the advantages.

In summation, although it is true that technological growth has caused people to lead inactive lifestyles. It is a modest disadvantage that is dwarfed by the plethora of advantages provided by technology and advancements.
