Topic: Today more and more tourists are visiting places where conditions are difficult, such as the Sahara desert or the Antarctic. What are the benefits and disadvantages for tourists who visit such places?

Model Answer 1

People in the current generation are highly enthusiastic about travelling and love visiting places that are filled with adventures and thrills. However, tourists have become increasingly interested in visiting places where conditions are difficult having extreme weather conditions or being increasingly risky. Considering both the advantages and the disadvantages I would elucidate my preference for difficulties outweighing the advantages.

With more people travelling to different places and exploring new areas, tourists have started to explore regions that have harsh weather conditions or are riskier in terms of doing adventures. People find it highly thrilling and try to fulfil their adventurous interests through the same. With difficulties existing in these regions and people being able to overcome them, raises their confidence and spirit and people try to continue the same.

However, the disadvantages of these conditions can also be concerning. Accordingly, the difficult conditions in terms of weather or the riskier conditions posed by partaking in adventurous activities increasingly put people’s lives in danger. Moreover, while people might die in extreme weather conditions like travelling in the Sahara or Antarctic, adventurous activities like bungee jumping and others might result in people having serious physical damage.

Accordingly, while exploring these regions could be thrilling, I consider that the disadvantages far outweigh the advantages which are merely for the purpose of enjoyment.

Model Answer 2

Tourists today in the world have been extremely interested in visiting unexplored areas and try to fulfil their adventurous interests by visiting places which are difficult. However, while trying to visit these difficult places, people have experienced immense physical harm while many have enjoyed their journey as well. The following essay would evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the tourists travelling to difficult places and eventually I would provide my preference for the same.

Travelling has become an important part of people’s leisure life and people have become more interested in exploring different places which are not just beautiful but are also difficult.

With the growing interest of people creating travel blogs and videos, tourists have been trying to visit difficult areas to have a thrilling experience. Effectively, people have become interested in exploring areas like the Sahara Desert while having to climb Mt Everest as well.

However, people have forgotten the difficulties that these areas pose against people’s lives and health. People trying to visit regions that are isolated or have extreme weather conditions as part of their adventure often may be faced with difficulties where gaining help could become difficult. Moreover, many people trying to visit these regions might be faced with an immense amount of physical harm or many have even faced deaths while travelling.

Considering both the advantages gained through adventures and thrilling experiences and the disadvantages of physical harm and potential death it may be identified that the disadvantages are more effective and concerning thereby outweighing the advantages.

Model Answer 3

Tourists in the world today can be considered to have increased interest in exploring regions that are thrilling and difficult. However, while the benefits of travelling mean that adventures and leisure activities could be immensely giving positive feelings to the tourists, the disadvantages in terms of potential harm to people’s lives also are concerning. The essay would evaluate the advantages and disadvantages and eventually present what I believe.

Tourists across the world have visited numerous places and explored regions that are unknown as well as new to them. These regions have included isolated islands and even mountain ranges with extreme weather conditions. However, people have made their records in terms of exploring these thrilling regions and fulfilling their adventurous needs. The difficult regions have given people the confidence to do the unexpected and hence, make their lives more fulfilling.

However, people exploring different regions with extreme climatic conditions like climbing Mt Everest and travelling in Antarctic regions also have their disadvantages. These can be considered in terms of the extreme weather resulting in poor health while the gases released from the melting of glaciers in the Antarctic due to global warming has negative impacts on health conditions. These can be considered alarming as it has a direct impact on people’s health while many might find it affecting their mental health conditions as well.

However, I believe that when people have an interest in doing something like travelling, tourists are prepared for facing the challenges and fulfilling them is their main goal. No matter what the impact or consequences may be with proper guide and support, it is possible to eradicate the disadvantage and enjoy the advantages.
