Band 7 IELTS Letter

Dear Sir/Madam,

I'm writing to you now to discuss a problem that has persisted in my community. I want to draw attention to the fact that our town,Ludhiana, is currently experiencing a serious litter disposal problem. Due to the tidiness committee's laziness, our community has been plagued by an epidemic of undisposed trash for the past few days. The council appoints them. Although the accumulation of trash in our neighborhood has always been an issue, recent events have caused it to go beyond acceptable levels.

Additionally, there aren't enough dustbins in our neighborhood, which has led to the overflowing waste in the ones that are already there. As a result, trash and other debris have been left all over the roads. As a result, the smell of the trash has permeated the streets and made it difficult for us to survive. Additionally, a rejection is received from our visitors as a result of the situations that these have brought about. As a result, we now face a lot of health-related difficulties, and we are reluctant to let kids play outside. Additionally, because no one can tolerate the scent, we have limited our physical activity because we cannot tolerate any more chaos in our life.

Please take into account the aforementioned scenario and act firmly against it. Please also see to it that a suitable rubbish disposal system is set up.

Yours Faithfully,

Manjot

Band 7.5 IELTS Letter

Dear Sir/Mam,

I’m a resident of Ambala Cantt, street no. 23. This letter is on behalf of my entire society members to express my concern regarding the dissatisfaction with the waste management system in our area. The process that is involved in the waste collection is not appropriate.

The Municipal Corporation has considered appointing manual laborers to collect household litter. The system isn’t satisfactory for the individuals residing in the society as the laborers deny picking up the garbage with their hands. Moreover, they go on unnoticed leave most of the days, and thus, there is no one to collect the garbage and household waste.

Apart from this, a major matter of concern for us is the huge garbage bin that is placed right in front of our entrance. The bin is not considered for clearance and is always overflowing with garbage. Due to this concern, we are dealing with increased challenges of mosquito and housefly breeding. These issues have led to us being prone to myriads of infectious disease.

I would like to suggest some measures that can be adapted in order to overcome this challenge. First and foremost, consider providing proper garbage disposal and collection equipment. Also, you might consider separate colored bins for segregating wastes in our society. Looking forward to a positive response.

Yours Faithfully,
Sukhbir Singh

Band 8 IELTS Letter

Dear Sir/Mam,

This letter is intended to express a grave situation that the residents in “Jamshedpur” are facing. The issue is related to the faults and inadequacy of the garbage management system. This challenge has increased over the past few weeks.

In accordance with the level of the challenge, there are not adequate amounts of garbage bins installed in the area. In addition to this, for the last couple of weeks, there have been no clearance activities being conducted in the area. There are not enough measures toward eradicating this challenge within our area. Thus, garbage is being accumulated on the streets.

Since the garbage is being accumulated in the area, street dogs keep hovering around the area. Moreover, it has become a breeding source for mosquitoes, houseflies, and other relevant insects leading to serious health-related issues. In addition, the stinking smell of the garbage has started reaching our home which has hampered our peaceful and healthy life.

This is an earnest request to the Municipal Council to look into the matter and treat it as urgent. Furthermore, strict actions are required to be taken in order to ensure that the employed labor is at work and is working to their full potential. There is a necessity to ensure appropriate measures for the long-term impact of the steps. I hope you will take the necessary steps to overcome this issue.

Yours sincerely,
Payal Agnihotri
