But in the process of doing so, a gap between the children and the parent is created. The parents are unable to give time to their wards, and they try to compensate their children with all kinds of luxuries. They are giving them even a good sum of pocket money, and they never want to know what they are doing with that money. Here begins the main problem. Now, these kids go in the search of friends with an alike mindset. The child may land up with a good friend circle. But it is often seen that the children of the rich and prestigious families end up with a gang of children who deal in drugs or do Illegal activities. This includes activities such as robbing their parents for more money, telling lies, etc. They are also involved in stealing costly things from their own home and selling it in the market for the want of more money. The newcomer in that group finds it very cool in the beginning, but the parents do not come to know anything about them. By the time the parents come to know about their child’s activities, things go out of their hands. They are engrossed with their own life, their own friends, their own world of illegal activities.

And as there is no capital accumulation, the economy does not undergo any kind of economic growth. And the lack of employment opportunities is only due to the lack of economic growth. This unemployment is giving the unemployed person ample opportunities to think about how to grab money from others. Just as the proverb goes, an “idle mind is a devil’s home”, here the things go the same. They plan to rob the middle-class section of the society, or they get indulged in smuggling, dacoits, robbery, human trafficking etc. This brings them money more easily and they get richer very quickly. Moreover, they are forced to take up such criminal activities, as they are unable to get any suitable job or respectable job. Here the government can come into play, where the government can take steps for creating more employment opportunities, for the educated one. Steps must also be taken to educate the slum side children because they cannot study because of their financial condition. And they are the first to take up these criminal activities, as it is well known that there is no job in today’s world without education. They end up in the wrong hands, who lures them to do dangerous crimes in return for very small payments. But those small payments are a huge achievement for the small kids. So they take up those criminal activities very easily. This government should look after these things.

The criminals can also be taken for rehabilitation, where they will be taught about the aftermath of criminal activities. So that by this rehabilitation, they could understand how their criminal activities affect society. It is also to make them realise how these activities go against the law and order and disrupt it. These could also change some of them, maybe a completely different person comes out of jail, and leads his life as just the ordinary people are living. From these educational programs taken up by the government, the criminals can be benefited a lot. But some would say that the punishment for any kind of criminal activity should be the death penalty. But according to me, there should be a second chance for everybody. Yes, the death penalty is applicable for some of the crimes like rape and human trafficking. For these kinds of criminal activities, I will not sympathize with the criminals. But crimes like murder, stealing, kidnap, etc. steps like rehabilitation, counselling, and vocational training are very important. In fact, capital punishment is also one of the very useful strategies. There is a very high chance of criminals being afraid of paying a high amount of capital for an offense done by them. So they would think twice before doing any criminal activities. There might be some instances where, the criminals take the death penalty very lightly. As in most of the cases, there is no death penalty, therefore they do the crimes without fear. But when there is capital punishment, the criminals might think before committing one. And the other strategies like rehabilitation, counseling, and vocational training are very useful according to me.
