Band 7 IELTS Essay

Since the beginning of the twenty-first century, the value of higher education has been emphasised, and as a result, more people are attending universities. While many people see this as a good thing, others contend that it might jeopardise the standard of education. The advantages and disadvantages of the growing number of university students will be covered in this essay. There are many advantages to the increase in tertiary students. These days, many careers, including those in accounting and finance, need a college degree.

Employers can now choose from a larger pool of applicants because there are more university graduates with the required credentials. A rise in higher education enrollment will also result in an increase in the number of highly trained individuals with better wages. As a result, the taxes that are collected from these employees will aid in the improvement of public services. Conversely, there are also inevitable negative effects. Having a college degree used to be regarded as a commendable accomplishment, but today it is frequently seen as a social must. The individuals are under pressure to be competitive and to continue their academic career as a result. Because having a bachelor's degree alone does not give you a competitive advantage, for instance, there are more people with master's and doctoral degrees. In addition to this, professors may be unable to adequately care for too many students at once, which could reduce the quality of higher education. Additionally, there might not be enough funding to provide each student with a suitable learning environment. In conclusion, despite the fact that many people are growing more competitive and educational systems are under a lot of pressure. More university students are thought to be very beneficial to companies and society at large. Therefore, I consider this rise to be a trend in the right direction.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Over the past few decades, more people have enrolled in universities to pursue education. Some people think it's a wonderful thing that helps their town flourish, while others think it's a bad trend that lowers the quality of schooling. The advantages and disadvantages of the rising number of students attending universities will be covered in this essay. The best legacy one can leave behind is education, according to a popular saying. Knowledge acquisition is one of the main benefits of the growing number of students attending postsecondary schools.

This is because when one is knowledgeable, the abilities attained can be transferred into producing important advancements in the individual's fields of study. It can be advantageous to the local community and the country as a whole. For instance, a young woman in Nigeria who studied helicopter flying went on to become the country's first female combat helicopter pilot. She was honoured as the first woman to have flown a combat helicopter in Nigeria because of her competence and skills in her line of work. However, there are certain disadvantages to the growing student population at institutions. Lack of suitable learning facilities to meet the steadily growing number of pupils enrolling in classes is one of these problems. Majority of learning amenities in universities were either not designed or the possibility of the increasing student population was not taken into account. Hence, making use of the facilities worn-out and possibly insufficient to accommodate the increasing student population. Thereby lowering learning quality and acquiring less-useful skills. On one of the Nigerian television stations, a demonstration of this was shown. Due to the increasing number of students enrolling in institutions to study, students might be observed sitting on the floor of their lecture hall for classes. In conclusion, an increase in the number of students attending universities can be viewed as a positive trend. Because the knowledge they gain can be useful to their countries. However, the lack of equipment to support the rising number of undergraduate students could degrade the quality of the knowledge acquired.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

ṣAlmost every family in the world has as a top priority going to school. As a result, since a few decades ago, an exponential increase in the number of students attending institutions. Attending school at this level has advantages for both the person and society. However, some people could think that this upward trend is harming academic standards. The high number of students attending postsecondary institutions will be discussed in the current essay along with its benefits and drawbacks.

On the one hand, the benefits of more people acquiring higher education relate to both the current and future quality of life for people as well as society. After graduation, there is greater access to employment prospects. Since a large number of experts are waiting to be hired, individuals with a higher degree will hear back sooner. Additionally, the rising number of graduates means that there are more physicians, dentists, dietitians, and technology specialists. Another advantage is the development of innovations and the resolution of social issues. For instance, medical professionals are developing better diabetes medications, one of the most prevalent diseases in the world. Another illustration is the creation of websites by IT professionals to enable online lessons. These skilled folks are paid more than other employees who are less qualified. Additionally, the university trains students to pursue advanced degrees like a master's or a PhD. On the other hand, the biggest drawback is that most universities weren't ready to accept too many students each year. They require time to adapt to the new generations and to provide for all the quality-related needs of students. Otherwise, they would just be another factory with workers. To achieve strong academic outcomes, it is essential to clarify any questions throughout a lecture. Additionally, in some circumstances, having a packed classroom could make it challenging for the instructor to be there and answer all the questions. More online courses are offered as a solution to the space shortage in institutions. These programmes are made to reach more people and pass on the duty of learning to them. In conclusion, even though it took the educational institutions some time to change and deal with the demand for extra professors and classroom space. The benefits exceed the drawbacks.
