Band 7 IELTS Essay

In the last 20 years, smartphone use has skyrocketed across the globe. Because we rely so much on modern technology, the usage of this device is lowering our general knowledge. The arguments why I concur with this stance will be covered in full in this essay.

First and foremost, the use of smartphone applications has increased our reliance on these portable technologies. This implies that we do not need to use mental effort to obtain certain facts. A program like Vocabulary Builder, for example, can assist us improve the breadth and precision of our grammatical usage. We don't memorize unfamiliar phrases we learn because this program is easily accessible on our phones. Instead, we consult it whenever we need to memorize a term instead. This electronic device is reducing our ability to complete tasks alone.

Another thing to think about is that watching how-to movies has forced us to rely on this gadget rather than coming up with our own ideas. People don't rely on their individual intellectual faculties to solve small problems. Nowadays, we refer to this innovation as being able to perform easy tasks. To use an auto technician as an example, he would opt to watch a video on his phone about how to solve a basic technical issue in a car. Rather than applying his knowledge of the industry. Our reliance on this advanced technology is causing us to lose the ability to complete tasks independently.

Another reason I believe using a smartphone is beneficial. Is the fact that many of its applications drastically reduce the amount of work required from people. In other terms, the cell phone, which is a convenient item that can be carried anywhere, is replacing many types of technology. Millions eventually purchase this as it significantly increases job efficiency. In conclusion, It is true that using smartphones impairs our intellectual capacity. The aforementioned arguments make it clear that we are becoming less clever as a result of our dependence on these technologies.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Our lives have transformed in ways that no one could have predicted thanks to the advancement of technology. In general and the emergence of cellphones in particular. We are rapidly nearing a point when we are completely dependent on these tools. And cannot perform even the most basic tasks without them. Some people think that using them dulls our intellect and lowers our intelligence. But I want to show why, in my opinion, this developing technology's benefits outweigh its drawbacks.

According to the majority of specialists, our young generation is being most negatively impacted. The rising usage of these electronic devices, which, if left unchecked, could have negative effects on their mental health and lead to quick dependence. As I have stated, the issue is not with utilizing smartphones per se. But rather with the requirement that they be used responsibly and under adult supervision. In this way, our children will gain the advantages and get ready for a world where technology is a must.

In addition, we cannot deny how much cellphones have simplified our lives in a variety of ways. They completely altered how we communicate with one another in a manner that nobody could have even imagined. On the other extreme, they might update us and give us too much information via the internet. We must take advantage of this opportunity if we don't want to lag behind the rest in our education and work because it was not previously available.

Finally, as smartphones are a relatively new invention, there are some early concerns about them, just like with any other technology. They have significantly altered our lives, and undoubtedly more changes are forthcoming. We cannot exclude them from our daily lives, so learning how to use them effectively is the only real solution to these concerns. In order to avoid being overdependent on them and possibly addicted to them. With enough information, we can take use of its enormous advantages without suffering any negative effects.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

The popularity of gadgets has been steadily rising in recent years all around the world. There is a belief that using smartphones for so many different purposes has a major negative impact on people's ability to think. I wholeheartedly concur with this assertion, and the essay that follows will detail how new technologies result in a decline in our collective intelligence.

To start, utilizing technology can cause us to overlook how to write properly. To put it another way, practically all mobile phones include the option to replace an incorrect phrase or word with a properly formed one. This functionality is also configured as the default function in many applications. To demonstrate this concept, consider the fact that the popular program "Microsoft Word '' corrects users' text as quickly as they click the spacebar. But does not even indicate to users where a mistake was made. Humans become wholly dependent on this application as a result, which prevents them from learning how to prevent similar problems in the future.

Additionally, a number of businesses have recently finished creating translators that can recognize human voice. In other words, if a person wants to communicate with a stranger, he does not need to learn their language. Because any phrase can be translated using a cell device or other gadget in a matter of seconds. As an illustration, young people in Japan frequently utilize the same devices. Whenever they meet their acquaintances from other nations. As a result, because modern technology has solved this problem, this element does not encourage young Japanese people to acquire foreign languages. As a result, many of them do not speak a second language.

In conclusion, the increase in the number of cellphones is a modern phenomenon that is all too common. Some individuals think that because we rely on them for so many common tasks. It has a negative impact on our fundamental knowledge and abilities. I wholeheartedly concur with this statement, as both our motivation to learn new languages and our ability to write well are declining.
