The Use of Cell Phones Has Increased Rapidly in the Twenty-First Century IELTS Writing Task 2

The cell phone has made life simpler and made it possible to contact a large number of friends and family members in a matter of minutes or seconds. Life is now much simpler than it was in the past thanks to easy access to the vast amount of content on the internet. Both professionals and students can use cell phones as needed. For instance, there are numerous applications like Google YouTube, and others that can be used to help students with their daily tasks or their many questions. Innumerable advantages result. The possibility of the impossible has been increased, for instance, by the use of email, photography, gaming, and more. Today's world would be unimaginable without cell phones.

There are numerous drawbacks in addition to its many benefits. My opinion is that using a mobile phone is time-consuming, which is its biggest drawback. People constantly interact in it because it is a private bubble. The use of a cell phone tends to make people lose track of time. People are disconnected from reality while still being connected to one another. It is lacking the human element. Today's youth prefers face-to-face interactions with friends and family over video calls, Snapchat, and other modern technologies. The harmful radiation brought on by the frequent use of mobile devices is another major drawback and drawback. According to studies, this radiation is the cause of an expansion of different bird species.

It is still acceptable to say that mobiles are the greatest invention in human history, despite the fact that there are many drawbacks to cell phones. Depending on who is using it and how he balances it with other activities, using a mobile phone can be advantageous or disadvantageous.

Cell phones are required for daily work studies and professional work. It helps us to be in touch with hundreds and thousands of friends in just one go. Many features like Google, YouTube, email, PowerPoint, Google sheet, and more have made the life of students and professionals easier. People can learn new and innovative things from the internet. Apart from communication with friends and family, it has made it possible to get in touch with people or strangers in a few clicks. In the past, people had to write a letter to their loved ones and wait for a reply maybe for days or months but now the internet, the cell phone, and the fast forward life have made things available on very short notice, for example, people can read books even without going to a library. Can buy books even without going to a bookstore. Apart from necessary work people can find entertainment on their cell phones. Most people utilize their leisure time on their cell phones.

On the contrary, the negative side has affected society. The first reason is social media consumption. The youth has too much involvement in social media. Kids these days like to post of being happy, depressed, or even casual things on their social media feed. A recent survey shows that the majority of people irrespective of their age are busy on their mobile phones. Another demerit of using a cell phone is it brings balance to your daily life. It hampers your sleep cycle.

In conclusion, no matter what the influence of cell phones is on people’s lives, it is the people who decide how much merit and demerit they want in Indian life from the cell phone.

Firstly the fact that mobile phones are beneficial to humans is a very acceptable fact. This electronic device has been equipped with various operating systems which help in the installation of various apps and applications. These applications make numerous tasks easier by saving time and energy. The productivity of people has increased. For example, people can book their tickets, train tickets, and bus tickets while sitting at home. Even people can book their movie tickets, and concert tickets while at home. The inbuilt features of this mobile phone such as a calculator, and alarm, have increased the resourcefulness of the device. Earlier the usage of an alarm clock, calculator, radio, landline, and various other things has been compacted into one.

However, the disadvantages cannot be ramified and overlooked. Since cell phones offer various utilities, people have become highly involved in cell phones. The dependency has made people handicapped. For example, earlier people used to remember their loved ones' phone numbers but now due to saving them on the phone people hardly remember any number. Another instance people used to write letters to their loved ones and waited for their reply but now due to this easy communication people also get disappointed with instant replies which might be hurtful. Along with these games, social media and various other fascinating applications have made teenagers involved in mobile phones apart from books phones. Kids these days are more involved in games and mobiles rather than in their books. People have become less concerned about life, career, and sleep cycle less and more about the phone, entertainment, and games. Social activities have become overpowered by physical activities.

In conclusion, while the disadvantages are equipped with many things, the advantages cannot be neglected. It depends on people and the balance they make in their life.
