Band 8 IELTS essay

The given tables show the average number of points that boys & girls got in math, science, geography, languages, & sports when they were 7, 10, 13, & 15.We can see that Boys did better than girls in sports (78%), but girls did better than boys in languages (75%).

Except for these two topics, boys & girls did pretty much the same in school. In Geography, boys usually did better than girls. Their scores went from 63 to 70%, while girls' scores were between 62 & 64%. At age 15, however, both boys & girls got an average of 64% in this subject. There were almost no differences in Math & Science scores between boys & girls.

When comparing the scores of boys & girls of different ages, they tended to get better as they got older.

It is evident that Boys did better in all subjects until they were 13, but by age 15, they did worse in all subjects except sports. Girls' scores in all areas went up as they got older, but their scores in sports went down.

It is clear that men in this age range did better at sports & women did better at languages.

Band 7.5 IELTS essay

The tables show the average points boys and girls received for math, science, geography, languages and sports when they were 7, 10, 13 & 15 years old.

Boys outperformed girls in sports (78%), while languages was won by girls (75%). Apart from these two topics, both boys and girls performed similarly at school. Geography scores usually favoured boys more; boys typically garnered scores between 63-70% while girls' ranged from 62-46%; however at age 15 both genders averaged 64% in this subject and there were almost no significant variations between Math & Science scores of boys & girls.

Boys & girls of different ages tend to improve as they get older, though differences do exist in some instances. Boys typically outscored girls until age 13, before falling behind in all subjects save for sports at age 15. Girls experienced improvements overall but decreases in sports scores as they matured.

Overall, it appears that men performed better at sports while women outshone them with language abilities.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

The tables show the percentage scores that boys & girls of different ages got in different topics in school.

Overall, sport was the subject that boys did best in, while science was the best topic for girls.It is also clear that for boys, sport had the least amount of data, & for girls, language did.

From the table, it's clear that 78 percent of male students took languages & 75 percent of female students took languages.It turned out that the best subject for each gender was the weakest for the other gender, like 58 percent for men & 60 percent for girls.If you look at other classes besides geography, the difference between girls & boys isn't that big & stays around 2 or 3 percent.

The numbers show that geography, along with sports & languages, is the only subject where it seems that men have always gotten slightly better average percentage marks than women, by about 3%. At age 13, 70 percent of boys had the highest percentage in geography, which is 6 percent higher than the top percentages for girls at ages 10 & 14.
