On the whole, it is evident that, in comparison to other uses, gaming and social networking are the most common activities on both of these devices. They occupy a majority of the diagram compared to other activities.

According to the charts, games and social networking account for the majority of time spent, or almost three-fourths of all time spent, though the individual proportions vary. When playing games, people spend more than a third of their time using smartphones and more than half of their time using tablets (57%). But even so, smartphones spend more time on social networking, the next most popular activity, with a 14 percentage point difference. When social networking accounts for 29% of all smartphone time, utilities only account for 20% of usage. Utilities take up just 3% of the total time in tablet.
