Band 6 IELTS Essay

More individuals today are interested in following rich and well-known celebrities. All media, including newspapers and magazines, now focus more on well-known persons with similar backgrounds. The key causes of this tendency are the growing public interest in the lives of successful individuals and the struggle for survival in the media industry. Following successful individuals and reading about them, in my opinion, is unquestionably a positive thing. Because it inspires others to pursue and realize their goals.

The emergence of various online platforms has allowed the general public access to following celebrities and successful people. Such as social networking sites.

Additionally, these famous people post online about their experiences and life stories so that regular people can relate. The fact that humans have always been drawn to glamour is another factor. That is to say, they enjoy pomp and circumstance, and reading about and following celebrities satisfies their cravings and relaxes them. For instance, because they feel a connection to the Ambani family, Indians are constantly interested in their lives and follow them. In order to remain in today's competitive market, media outlets must create content that their audience finds appealing.

The case may be made, in my opinion, that imitating well-known persons is totally permissible. First off, reading about their life events on a regular basis keeps the people in touch and related. As a result, renowned persons and celebrities can serve as role models for them. And the government can enlist their assistance in putting various projects for improving society into action. Second, talking with their role model directly can help people learn from their guidance and experiences. To put it another way, reading about successful people's experiences will inspire the average person to accomplish their ambitions. Therefore, it is wise to observe and learn from successful people. Finally, the main reasons people are fascinated are glamour and the paparazzi. It is a good role model to follow because it not only helps the government reach specific goals. But it also pushes individuals to achieve life goals.

Therefore, in my opinion, this tendency is beneficial for society because it enables both individuals and public agencies to attain their goals.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

In our celebrity-obsessed culture, news stories are constantly made about famous people, especially those with common backgrounds. This essay will explain the causes of this occurrence as well as the reasons why I think it is a curse rather than a benefit.

This phenomenon is caused by the glaring disparity in living standards between famous people and regular people. It is widely accepted that the vast majority of celebrities are able to monetize their accounts. They quickly amass an enormous fortune and buy whatever they want without thinking about prices. On the other hand, common people face a variety of issues brought on by a lack of resources. For instance, they have a hard time affording to rent an apartment or paying for their kids' tuition. Because celebrities seem to have everything so easily, common people who struggle to purchase even the most basic necessities of life are very drawn to them.

This, in my opinion, has several unfavourable effects. First of all, because they are always in the public eye, these stars attract a large following of admirers who treat them as their own idols. The majority of these well-known individuals lead lavish lifestyles and travel in expensive vehicles. Even though they cannot afford them, their admirers prefer to support them by adopting their lifestyles and buying those expensive things. As a result, these fans would spend less money on other aspects of their lives. Such as their health, exercise, and further education, which lowers the quality of their lives.

However, being exposed to the lives of famous people with common backgrounds will encourage regular people. It will motivate them to use any means necessary to achieve renown in order to lead high-quality lives. Some of these people leak their videos online or use racial slurs in their desperate attempts to get famous, which gives them a poor reputation. It also sets a horrible example for others.

In conclusion, the disparity between ordinary people's lives and those of celebrities can be related to their interest in celebrities. This interest is unfavourable since it may cause some individuals to make poor decisions and diminish the quality of their lives.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

I really believe that the media plays a significant role in someone becoming famous. The media are paying more attention to well-known individuals with regular backgrounds. I think it's inappropriate for individuals to be interested in learning more about renowned people.

For two key reasons, a lot of people want to follow famous individuals. They might be intrigued by their talent, to start. For instance, a football star named Cristiano Ronald has more than 31 million followers on Twitter alone. This is due to the fact that his articles frequently discuss hard effort and training, and his followers want to learn from or be motivated by a player like him. Having an interest in beauty is another reason to follow a prominent figure. A stunning actor might attract a sizable following of admirers who are curious about the actor's tricks for remaining attractive.

People, in my opinion, should not obsess about celebrities. This is because a lot of famous people are known for doing drugs and acting inappropriately. They provide a poor example for the next generation, who are more susceptible to being persuaded easily. For example, a talented young woman may be affected by a well-known vocalist. And without realising whether the singer has a negative attitude or not, the female can replicate the singer's actions.

In conclusion, a lot of people look up to superstars because they believe they can teach them something. However, many well-known celebrities might set a poor example, particularly for young people. On the other hand, it might encourage some people to make bad choices and lower the quality of their lives. Therefore, one should consider a number of additional criteria before mindlessly following any celebrity.
