Band 7 IELTS Essay

Without a question, the internet has recently improved people's lives. Many tools have been developed to enable faster internet communication between people. The advantages and disadvantages of using these internet platforms will be covered in this essay.

These days, surfing the internet has a lot of benefits. First, in the social sphere, people who are separated from their families can communicate in real-time. And share experiences via social media while interacting with them. For instance, a Skype call allows a grandfather on the other side of the world to witness the birth of his grandson. When various sorts of digital markets were created to meet online demand, another benefit may have emerged in the business world. Additionally, businesses invest far more in internet sales today than they did a few years ago—at least 30% more.

The "evil side" of this quickly spreading online culture includes increased worry among those who can no longer wait for information. The result is that a lot of people spend so much time on social media that they start to feel uneasy. Furthermore, after the internet's meteoric rise, in-person partnerships became increasingly rare. Another argument is that some people have a pathological urge for increasing their social media following. And this has psychologically hurt them. In addition, hackers appeared to take advantage of the lack of secure passwords and security measures used by individuals, and businesses. And also, institutions like banks and personal accounts.

In conclusion, there are a lot of benefits and drawbacks to using the internet for different things. Once individuals and businesses figure out how to use it most effectively, the advantages far exceed the disadvantages. The internet is a need of the modern era and unquestionably improves people's quality of life.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Human lives have changed as a result of the internet. It has altered how we interact with one another, conduct business, and obtain information. Although the internet has both advantages and disadvantages, I think its benefits exceed its drawbacks.

First off, people can now communicate with friends, family, and coworkers more quickly and effectively than in the past owing to the internet. The majority of people have internet access on their computers or mobile devices. It allows them to always stay in touch with their loved ones. For instance, social networking tools like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Twitter improve connectivity and the sharing of crucial information. People from all over the world can now take part in online conferences due to tools like video calls and webinars. It eliminates the requirement to travel to different nations and cities in order to attend such programs.

Online banking and shopping have also helped people save a tonne of time and effort. Today, people may order groceries, books, or household goods online from stores like Amazon or eBay, and have their purchases delivered to their homes. With the online services most banks now provide, moving and withdrawing money has also never been simpler.

On the other side, youngsters have easy access to a lot of nasty and disgusting stuff that is readily available online. Through the internet, many antisocial individuals and terrorist organizations like ISIS lure young people. A further issue is internet addiction. Nowadays, a lot of individuals waste their time online and become addicted to it. Their relationships and career may be impacted by this.

In conclusion, there are many ways in which individuals have benefited immensely from the internet. Even while it has some drawbacks, it can be effectively managed with the right rules, regulations, and parental oversight.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Today, technology is an essential part of our daily lives. In comparison to prior times, communication is now a lot simpler because of the emergence of the internet. Although it has several benefits, there aren't many significant drawbacks specific to it. I will talk about both of these features in this essay and provide an explanation for each one based on my own experience.

First of all, modern technology is evolving quickly. Every industry now relies heavily on the Internet for communication. Emails were among the earliest forms of communication to be created, but social networking has changed the game entirely. The fact that people can stay connected no matter where they are in the world is a huge benefit. For instance, when people had to write letters and mail them, it would often take one month for the recipient to get them. There weren't many people who wanted to stay in touch with their loved ones as a result. Therefore, it is evident that these developments have significantly simplified things.

On the other hand, continual browsing and contact attempts keep individuals away from their own homes and test their social skills. It is clear that the majority of children lack social skills. For instance, my nephew rarely enjoys sports or other physical activities and spends the majority of his time online. Although it might not seem like a major deal, I believe it will have a significant impact on their near future. In these situations, it is the duty of the children's parents or guardians to promote outdoor exploration. It could be done by exposing them to summer camps, sports leagues, and community services. Despite this, the consequences cannot be totally eliminated, but they can be controlled by rules.

To sum up, there are several benefits connected to it. When used properly, it can clearly outweigh the drawbacks. Therefore, I believe that the internet is vital to the current age and that it undoubtedly simplifies human existence.
