The Idea of Having a Single Career is Becoming An Old Fashioned One IELTS Writing Task 2

The presence of multiple jobs in the modern world is not considered to be overworking. Hustling is the term for people's overwork-oriented behaviour in the modern world. The fact that so many people are following this trend these days rather than just doing it to get by is what is more surprising. This way of life has become popular among many people as a means of meeting needs that cannot be met by a single source of income. As we move deeper into this new era, these modernist tendencies are starting to become cultural norms. A person's physical and mental health may be negatively impacted by working multiple jobs, which can be a demanding experience.

An individual faces a challenging daily routine when working for various businesses, which leads to an increase in laziness and poor work quality that is detrimental over the long run. Stronger credentials are therefore necessary when applying for high-paying jobs, necessitating a constant and never-ending search for more education. Having multiple jobs is becoming more and more common, especially among young people, I'd like to point out as a final point. Even though leading such a life may be enjoyable and even luxurious, it is important to establish these commitments with consideration for all factors in order to prevent problems like overwork and workplace stress.

Single careers are becoming obsolete, and as a result, lifelong learning will become a need. I would like to quote that for leading a luxurious life and enjoying a lucrative career, one must have multiple career options. In today’s lifestyle, individuals have more living expenses than they earn. To quote an example, a person who lives in a large family will not be able to meet the needs of every member of the family if he has a single career; instead, he must have some business to run alongside his job in order to meet the needs and desires of his family; additionally, if we take the example of a farmer, all family members are involved in one business, and a portion of their earnings is distributed among all family members, so they do not live a luxurious life. Individuals are highly motivated to undertake education these days and ensure that they continue for further education that will ensure continuity in their life. Moreover, it is a concept within individuals that getting a good and appropriate earning opportunity is directly proportional withholding a good and well-reputed educational background. Thus, this is one of the reasons that people don’t give up studying and pursue multiple degrees in their careers. However, some people believe that one should focus on a single profession to earn money and not divert their minds and that one should have a specific goal to earn more money, but I disagree since it is not a time for single careers, and they only receive a limited amount of money by doing so. To summarise, a person should pursue several sources of income since consumerism has reached its pinnacle, and money is the only thing that satisfies everyone's desires.

As a result, individuals are ready to learn new things in order to get new talents that will help them adjust to the new situation. In today's world, science and technology bring up new possibilities. It has repercussions in many aspects of human life. It has also altered people's auras and attitudes. Not only that, but it has unveiled a plethora of work prospects for humans that were previously unimaginable. People may now accomplish many occupations at the same time because of technological advancements. People nowadays are in a perpetual race with evolving technology and knowledge, and they usually win. The consequences of technological advancement are significant. To produce production, the technology works in tandem with labour and money. For example, it considerably increases the productivity of individuals who operate with the most up-to-date computers. Similar results may be found in a variety of different innovations. Every day, new technologies bring up new opportunities for competent individuals. It not only opens up new career opportunities, but it also allows people to work in many sectors at the same time. For example, a web designer can work for a company and then outsource his work over the internet from home. And in this way, he may work at home and in the office at the same time, earning extra money. The preceding debate demonstrates that individuals have nothing better to do than have several occupations. People will require a variety of abilities to do so. Again, technology opens up a plethora of possibilities, but it also poses a threat to inexperienced or obsolete people. As a result, more education is desperately needed, and education has become an essential aspect of human existence. In a word, I'd like to state that we need the most up-to-date and diversified knowledge and abilities to meet today's difficulties, and we should always be prepared to continue our education if required, as well as embrace the benefits and challenges of doing several jobs.
