Topic: The growing number of overweight people is putting a strain on the health care system. Some people think that the best way to deal with this problem is to introduce more physical education lessons in the school curriculum. What is your opinion?

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Some claim that the increase in obese people is putting a strain on medical facilities because overweight persons are more prone to experience health issues. They believe that the best way to deal with this issue is to increase the amount of physical education classes taught in the classroom. While I do concede that increasing physical training sessions can aid students in losing weight and burning calories. However, this action does not address the problem entirely. Obesity has primarily two causes.

Living a sedentary lifestyle is one of them. The excessive eating of junk food is another. Students will be forced to participate in sports and burn extra calories in their bodies if physical education classes are added to the school curriculum. Playing physical sports as a child increases the likelihood that they will continue to be physically active as adults. Therefore, it stands to reason that including more exercise activities in the school curriculum will improve kids' health and lower their risk of gaining weight. However, obesity is not exclusively brought on by a lack of exercise. Actually, consuming too many fatty and sugary foods and beverages is a major cause. Controlling young people's weight gain is impossible without lowering their intake of junk food. Consuming less calories overall is always preferable than exercising to burn off extra calories. Therefore, the government should urge youth to consume less fast food in addition to making physical education a required component of the school curriculum. Students can be made aware of this by spreading awareness among them. Another option is to tax junk food more heavily in order to make it more expensive. In conclusion, including additional sports activities in the school day will undoubtedly prevent children from gaining weight and improve their health. It is not a complete answer, though, since people still need to limit their consumption of calorie-dense junk food in order to maintain a healthy body weight. Therefore, I do not entirely concur with the claim that increasing physical education instruction for pupils is the greatest strategy to combat obesity.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Day by day the obesity issue is continuously increasing and has bad effects on the human body and mind. As we grow up, our body directly or indirectly affects our personality. We are facing less energized and less confident which creates complications in ourselves. In today's world the health issue is becoming a serious concern both in adults as well as in youngsters. It is undoubtedly true that being fit and healthy in today's busy world is quite tough.

But being overweight is the origin of various diseases and we should definitely give high Importance on this issue. The key factor to lose weight is regular physical exercise. Apart from this every individual should focus on his/her regular food habits and try to avoid fatty things as well as various kinds of fast foods. When we were in school, we barely cared about physical fitness as we used to be involved in various physical activities like jumping, swimming etc. We used to play more outdoor games than sitting on the sofa and playing mobile games for 3 to 4 hours. So, in today's scenario it seems necessary for regular physical exercises to become as fit as a fiddle. First of all, every individual should start consuming a balanced diet and avoid various kinds of prepackaged foods and drinks. People should engage themselves in at least walking on a daily basis. Besides, it will be more helpful if regular physical education classes are to be introduced in school curriculum. Because a healthy lifestyle should be started from the grassroot level of an individual. But only adding this would not be helpful. We should try to follow it regularly. The school administrators including Teachers should be extremely observant towards this. Our Government can also make this mandatory in any Educational course and curriculum on a regular basis. Moreover, each and every individual in our society should take responsibility for it. We should remind our near and dear ones about the health risks that come with obesity. Fitness must be incorporated with the educational institutes and also with the family. By influencing the quality of life in every individual and by which we can decline the risk of serious health issues.

Band 8.5 IELTS Essay

Due to rapid urbanization and globalization we have started to follow a brand new modern lifestyle which sometimes has some negative impacts on ourselves. There has been continuous increase in the number of obese people all over the world. This has become the most alarming situation in the national health care system. Some believe that by increasing the number of classes of physical education in any educational institutes this problem can be resolved. This statement is undoubtedly true.

To begin with, we can say that learning or adopting any of these habits at a very early age may have a deep and far-reaching impact. Children are the base of our society. If we teach them good habits starting from a young age, their future would be safer and significant. So, teachers should teach students in the classroom about the negative impacts of overweighting. They should also convince them to follow a healthy lifestyle like regular physical exercises, consume balanced diets, practice yoga, walking etc. Teachers should emphasize theoretical and applied training on healthy well being. They should encourage the young minds to pay attention to what they eat in a day and how healthy it is for them. Furthermore, students can explain the same things to their parents and their friends too. Physical education classes in school not only provide them strengths and boost their immune system but also teach them to be disciplined and focused in life. It builds a solid foundation of their life. To conclude, the rapidly expanding drift of obese people is seriously putting a difficult situation on our health care system. To solve such issues, first of all we should increase our consciousness in keeping a good health and try to follow a healthy lifestyle. Avoiding junk foods, prepackaged foods etc will help. By following a healthy routine and developing good habits at the school levels, it will definitely be effective for young minds. It is our duty to take responsibility and arrange campaigns, seminars in school. Or any other educational institutes so that children can know the harmful consequences of obesity on health. Through various initiatives we can not only combat the overweighting problem but also go hand in hand with the Government and contribute to the health sector.
