Marine fishing industry

Big scale- Industrial ships Small scale - Fishing boats
Number of employees 500,000 120,000,000
Annual catch Million tonnes Food 29 24
Industrial process 22 None
Annual cost per capita ( Annual pay for each employee) in £ 25,000-350,000 200-3000
Annual fuel/oil consumption for each vessel (gallon) 65,000 8,500

Model Answer 1

The table given above shows the data of the big scale- industrial ships and the small scale- fishing boats in the Marine fishing industry. It is very interesting to see that the number of employees in the small- scale fishing boats are more than the big scale- industrial ships. But the annual pay of each employee in the small scale- fishing boats is less than that in the big scale- industrial ships.

The annual pay of the employees in the small scale- fishing boats is 200- 3000 per employee which is far lesser than that of the 25,000 - 350,000 pay of the big scale- industrial ships. Similarly, the number of employees in the big scale- industrial ship is 500,000 which is far lesser than that of the 120,000,000 number of employees in the small scale- fishing boats. The annual catch of food and industrial processes by the big ships is 51 million tonnes and for the small fishing boats is only 24 million tonnes. The oil consumption for each vessel is greater in case of big scale industrial ships.

In conclusion, we can say that the small scale- fishing industry requires more manpower as compared to large scale- fishing industry but it gives less annual pay per employee as compared to large scale industry.

Model Answer 2

The table given above presents the data of the marine fishing industry based on the various factors such as number of employees, annual pay for each employee, annual oil consumption for each vessel, etc.

It is noticed that the number of the employees in the small scale- fishing industry is more but the annual pay of each employee is very less as compared to that of the large scale- fishing industry. The 500,000 employees in the large scale- industrial ships is far lesser than that of the 120,000,000 employees in the small scale- fishing boats. The other factors such as annual fuel consumption for each vessel, annual pay for each employee, etc is far less in the small scale- fishing boats as compared to that in the large scale- industrial ships. The annual pay of the small scale- fishing industry is only 200- 3000 which is far lesser than that of the big scale industry that pays 25,000 - 350,000 per employee. When we compare the annual catch of food and industrial processes, the large scale- industries exceed the production of 51 million tonnes as compared to the small scale- fishing boats whose annual catch is only 24 million tonnes.

Model Answer 3

The table given above shows the data of big scale- industrial ships and the small scale- fishing boats of the Marine Fishing Industry. It compares both the industries on the basis of various factors such as annual pay of each employee, number of employees in both the industries, annual catch in terms of million tonnes, etc.

After studying the table, we observed that the large scale industries require less workers but they pay them higher annual salaries and the annual catch rate of food and industrial processes is higher in terms of million tonnes. Every year 51 million tonnes of food and industrial process is catched in the large scale- industrial ships. But in the case of small scale- fishing boats, only 24 million tonnes of the food is catched and zero amount of industrial processes is catched. The annual difference between both the industries in the oil consumption for each vessel is higher. The oil consumption is 65,000 gallons by the large scale industries and only 8,500 gallons by the small scale industries.

We conclude this by saying that the number of employees required by the small scale industries is more than that by the large scale industries but the annual pay is higher in case of the large scale industries.
