The exploration and development of safe alternatives to fossil fuels IELTS Writing Task 2 consists of three sample answers provided below. The introduction is a brief description about the topic. The body contains argumentative statements and tentative answers to support the test-taker's perspective.

Environmentalists in the current world have been arguing for the use of safe alternatives to fossil fuels which need to be explored and developed as the most important global priority. I certainly agree with the statement considering the need to use alternatives as part of environment conservation. I would be presenting my ideas in the following essay stating effective reasons for the same.

Fossil fuels are non-renewable resources of the environment and have been used for many years. Considering that they cannot be renewed it is important to understand that their rigorous use would eventually result in depletion of the resource. Moreover, fossil fuels being used immensely put a lot of pressure on these resources which would result in a potential situation where the future generation would not be able to use them.

Effectively, as the environmentalists argue that alternatives to fossil fuels need to be considered by different industries to carry out their operations, renewable sources of energy could be used as significant alternatives. Moreover, the effect of using fossil fuels on the environment is harmful with the release of poisonous gases resulting in air pollution. It is also important to consider the fact that if the recent world developments do not consider using alternative forms of energy to fossil fuels, the natural resources of the earth could not be repaired.

Hence, I sternly believe that resources alternatives to fossil fuels need to be used in the current world and should be a global priority as a way to protect the environment and the needs of future generations.

The world is growing increasingly concerned about the reckless use of fossil fuels and environmentalists have argued for the use of alternatives to them. Considering the impact of fossil fuels on the environment and their non-renewable nature, I agree with the view that alternatives need to be considered to fossil fuels, supporting which I would present my reasons.

Fossil fuels are non-renewable resources in the environment and with immense use of them for ages, the possibility of the natural resource getting depleted from the environment is high.

Moreover, fossil fuels are being constantly used and burnt in the environment which has resulted in the release of gases like carbon monoxide leading to air pollution.This has increased the number of health issues for humans as well as an unstable environment for animals to survive affecting their lives tremendously.

With an increasing concern for climate change which has been affecting the world on a large scale, the burning of fossil fuels has been considered by scientists to be immensely harmful and contributing towards climate change further. From hazardous health issues increasing on a global scale due to climate change and an impact on the environment as well, renewable energy resources need to be utilised as an alternative which ensures a reduction in these resources.

Considering these aspects of climate change, environmental impact and the effect on living beings that fossil fuels have, alternatives to fossil fuels is what I consider should be a global priority.

The global concern for climate change has made environmentalists and scientists evaluate that alternatives to fossil fuels should become a global priority. Considering the impact of fossil fuels on the environment and living beings, I agree with the view that alternatives to fossil fuels should be considered a priority by all which I would elucidate in the essay with supporting reasons.

The environment has been going through changes in terms of being affected by increasing climate change issues for which burning of fossil fuels is a huge reason. The harmful gases released by fossil fuels have a negative impact on ecological conditions including human and animal lives. Moreover, the rigorous use of fossil fuels has resulted in the depletion of resources considering that fossil fuels are non-renewable. The effect has been increasingly felt in terms of rising carbon footprint which needs to be reduced effectively.

Focusing on alternatives to fossil fuels includes the use of renewable energy sources such as solar panels and wind turbines as resources for the generation of electricity and production of energy. Industries would be able to reduce their carbon footprint with the reduction in the use of fossil fuels and thereby preventing harm to the environment.

In my opinion, I would consider that incorporating alternatives to fossil fuels should become a global priority in the wake of protecting the environment and maintaining ecological balance. Effectively, carbon footprint would reduce and the negative impact on the environment could be curbed.
