The table given above shows the employment rate and average annual salaries of new graduates in different areas of study in an Australian University. This data is collected for the year 2009. It is very clear from the table that the employment rate of the science students is the least (only 62%) and it is maximum in the case of students enrolled in health studies (93%).
It is also observed that the employment rate and the average annual salaries of law and the engineering & IT graduates is approximately the same. The employment rate of law graduates is 87% and for Engineering & IT graduates is 86%. The highest average annual salary is received by them among all the graduates of different subjects ($ 59,000). 72% of the graduates holding a degree in Arts and Social Science have an average annual salary of $50,000.
Thus, we concluded that the highest paid graduates are in the Law and Engineering sector and least paid graduates are in the Science sector.
