Band 6.5 Answer

Information on the selection, pressing, and processing of cocoa beans is provided in the flowchart.

Overall, there are three primary steps in the processing of cocoa beans, starting with picking and ending with the consumer.

The whole beans are delicately removed from either the shells and dried during the initial stage of the processing of cocoa beans. There are various ways of drying whether sun drying or normal drying. There are two distinct kinds of crushing the beans after the second stage. One way to process the beans is to press them further to create cocoa cake and grind them into the cocoa powder or liquor. The resulting cocoa powder eventually finds its way to the consumer market. Here, they are turned into cakes and beverages. There are various items prepared in this process. This processing results directly towards the consumer needs.

On the other hand, the pressed beans go through more refinement to become industrial chocolate in the second stage. Prior to the final processing, sugar is added at this stage. After adding sugar, various products like chocolates are made for the consumers. Finally, the consumer receives the completed chocolate items. There may be various chocolates, including nuts. The nuts are added while preparing the chocolate.

Band 7.5 Answer

The diagram that was produced shows how cocoa beans are processed. This is a total 3 step process. There are various subdivisions within each process.

From bean collection to distribution to consumers, it is evident that this procedure is broken down into three parts.

The first part of the procedure starts with the collection of whole beans from the field, which are then separated from their shells and dried in the sun. Making cocoa liquid by pressing dry beans is the next stage. The method is separated into two parts for the following step. If it were pressed even harder, it would produce cocoa and cocoa cake, as opposed to commercial chocolate, which is made after being refined and having sugar and cocoa added.

After grinding cocoa cake, the third and final process creates cocoa powder, which also creates beverages from commercial cakes. Other types of beverages are also produced in this process. The distribution of cocoa powder to customers comes next. Products made from industrial chocolate after additional processing are sold directly to consumers. While in this process sugar is added in the cocoa powder. There are different types of chocolates. So along with sugar and cocoa powder nuts and other ingredients are also added as per requirement.

Band 8.5 Answer

The flowchart outlines the steps involved in choosing, pressing, and processing cocoa beans.

The preparation of cocoa beans involves three main steps overall, beginning with the picking and finishing with the customer.

The initial step in the preparation of cocoa beans involves delicately removing the whole beans from either the shells or the drying process. There are several methods of drying, including conventional drying and sun drying. After the second stage, there are two separate types of crushing the beans. The beans can also be ground into cocoa powder or liquor after being further pressed to make cocoa cake.

Eventually, the obtained cocoa powder makes it to the customer base. They are made into cakes and drinks in this place. During this process, a variety of things are prepared. The needs of the consumer are immediately met by this processing.

On the other end, the crushed beans go through extra raffination in the second stage to make industrial chocolate. At this point, sugar is added before the last processing. Chocolates and other items are created for consumers when sugar is added. The finished chocolate products are then delivered to the customer. Nuts and other types of chocolate may be present. As the chocolate is being prepared, the nuts are added.
