Band 8 IELTS Essay

The younger population today can be seen to be involved in crimes more than ever. It is believed that in order to reduce crimes among the young population, it is the parents who need to be taught with good parenting skills. However, I do not agree with this statement. This essay would focus on my argument for why parents should not be the one who needs to be taught parenting skills. Rather the younger population needs better education.

It is quite insensitive and unethical in blaming parents for children’s criminal intentions and activities. Moreover, the common belief that poverty and negligence in raising children is the cause of younger generations being involved in crimes. Children’s family background and parenting skills have no relevance to young people becoming criminals. Moreover, parenting is a natural process and cannot be a classroom activity which can be taught to those adults. Consequently, training sessions for parents would not help to control the crime committed by youngsters. This is because the intentions arise in the minds of these generations. For instance, commitment of cyber crimes and not following traffic rules are criminal offences which young people do even after being aware of the crimes. On the contrary, stricter regulations need to be introduced against the younger generation who are involved in crimes. This may be in the form of restrictions on the use of the internet and imposing stricter laws when it comes to breaking the rules. Generally speaking, there is hardly any country that has induced stringent laws against young offenders. This has led the youngsters to commit more crimes than ever. Accordingly , imposition of strict punishment against criminal offences would surely control the crime-rate committed by them. Additionally, the internet can be considered a huge influence . Thus, the parent should be more vigilant about their online activities.

To conclude, it can be argued why the training on parenting skills is not effective to reduce the crime committed by their children. Instead the government should devise other ways to control the situation.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

It is important to identify that today's younger generation are involved in too much crime. In order to reduce this some people believe that the younger population need to be taught by their parents and the parents further need to be taught with good parenting skills. However, I do not agree with this statement. This particular essay would focus on my argument that it is not important for parents to be taught parenting skills for reducing crimes among the youngsters. It becomes important to understand that criminal intentions are not something that people are born with.

However, blaming parents for the crimes committed by their children is quite intensive. It is important to understand that important education about ethical practices among children is not just the duty of the parents. Sometimes children learn activities and develop intentions from various other activities that are involved. This is such as seeing too many criminal shows being involved in too many Cyber crime activities and shows that do not have control of their ill behaviour. Many at times children are also influenced by their school environment and their playing invited mint which impacts on their cognitive abilities. This in a way affects how it is possible for the children and the youngsters to actually be affected by such unethical behaviours that are surrounding them. It becomes important that youngsters are made to understand how their behaviour in the society should be enhanced positively. They should be made to focus on enhancing their ethical knowledge. Full stop children should be made aware that any kind of will behaviour may lead to a criminal offence which is punishable by law. Hence further it is also the duty of the government to ensure that no matter how effective it is to make use of the internet , certain restrictions need to be induced. This would ensure that the criminal activities of the youngsters could be brought under control. Stricter punishments should be induced that would affect the overall actions taken by the youngsters in order to make it a crime.

Band 6 IELTS Essay

For some people the income level or the economic level of the families reflect how stable a family can be. Money can be considered a Priority but not the only factor that affects people's lives. Some people believe that the crimes among the youth that are rising in the society can be reduced by the parents. This is possible by educating their children and by enhancing their parenting skills. While I do not believe that parenting skills can be taught or enhanced in a particular way considering that it is a natural process. People learn from their mistakes everyday and the crimes among the youngsters can be found to be arising among the children from a very young age. It is essential that parents are able to identify and restrict children from committing any kind of petty crimes that might lead to huge ones in the future. Many people considered that the background of a family is influential in the growth of a child that leads the young individuals to grow up and become a criminal

Moreover, in today's world where I feel that the internet has a huge role to play. It has also affected the minds of the children and the youngsters in committing different kinds of crime. Whether the crime is as petty as not following a traffic signal or as big as murdering someone, children are most often affected by what they are able to see frequently.

Furthermore I believe that it is important to put restrictions among the children in order to ensure that they have a sense of responsibility for that effectively. It becomes essential that children are restricted from the use of the internet which can also intimidate their mind. This might lead them in undertaking certain actions which can lead to criminal offences. Moreover children should be made to learn that even if someone else is committing a crime they should be the one to stop the other person from doing so.
