Band 8 IELTS Essay

Everyone has a different manner of liking various things, and this applies equally to liking activities or individual activities. While some groups of people could discover that working alone gives them complete control and, therefore, they believe it is more advantageous. Others may discover that teamwork and collaboration enable them to do the work much more swiftly and efficiently. I'll discuss the advantages of working both alone and in a group in this essay today. And which one, in my opinion, will assist the person develop a strong foundation of life skills.

When operating alone on a task, the first advantage is that each individual has complete access and responsibility over the task at hand. They are completely independent, therefore they are able to schedule and organize things as they see fit. They carry activities out in whatsoever manner they determine to be the most advantageous and efficient. A psychologist, for instance, has complete control if he works alone. He gains the freedom to select the file and approach he believes will work best for the job. And to apply any therapeutic approach which seems suitable according to past experience and knowledge. Since there are no outside distractions, they may give their complete attention to the task at hand. Additionally, he solely owns the benefits.
They can fully concentrate on the task at hand because there are no outside distractions. Also fully his own and not required to be split, the rewards.

Group initiatives, on the other extreme, are advantageous in a variety of ways. When someone feels stuck at a certain stage of the project, their partner frequently serves as a source of motivation. They can assist any member who may want assistance. In addition to time, it allows people to concentrate on the things they believe they are best at, which makes the entire process more effective. Unknown skills can be taught to a person through group work.

In light of this, I believe that both team as well as individual projects, depending on the situation they are used in, are significant and very beneficial.

Band 8.5 IELTS Essay

There is no doubt about the fact that group projects are extremely important in developing the life skills of an individual. If used in the right scenario, they are very helpful in helping the team to reach the right destination quickly and efficiently. Working in teams helps to keep each member of the group highly motivated. In case a certain group member feels disheartened or demotivated, working with other individuals may help them to feel better and start working on the task. Since all the members of the team have the same aim of finishing one task on time, they will work together hard to finish it on time.

On the other hand, working in a group also helps to finish the task quickly, as it is a very time effective method of working. Since the group has many individuals who come with their own set of strengths and weaknesses. Group activities give the opportunity for individuals to focus on their strongest points and learn more skills. If the individual feels that they are not particularly good at a certain skill, they can leave this part to be taken care of by a teammate. They can also learn from their teammates regarding that particular skill. They can focus on their strong points, such as on data structures and algorithms. Another great advantage is that since there are many people working on the same project, it makes way for approaching the problem from more than one perspective. If a team member feels stuck at a particular juncture, they can be helped out by their other team members. And last but not the least, if we pay heed to the common saying, the joys of achievement feel a lot more wonderful when they are shared with others!

Band 9 IELTS Essay

I strongly believe that both group work, as well as individual work, are immensely beneficial to developing the life skills of a certain person. When it comes to working individually, the very first saying that comes to my mind is “too many cooks spoil a broth.” Since group projects may ask for a lot of people to come together and work in a group together, there is always an advanced likelihood of disruptions. Different people have different sets of opinions, thus creating friction that may disrupt the continuous and smooth workflow.

Another great advantage that comes up is that they are not solely dependent upon one another to finish the task. They are free to schedule and plan things out at their own ease, and carry them out in whichever way they find is the most beneficial and effective. For example, a software developer, if he works alone, he gets the full autonomy to download whichever file he wants from the internet and use any method or style. There are no distractions from other people, and they can fully focus on the work at hand. With no exterior distraction, the results will be seen to be achieved a lot faster and with increased accuracy. However, if we are speaking about a child, if he is focusing on a project alone. They can think more and be more attentive to the work at hand, rather than getting distracted and speaking with their fellow mates. Therefore, there are a lot of benefits to working alone, if used under the right circumstances.
