Band 8 IELTS Essay

The education field has dramatically changed for the better in the last decade. The demand for good quality teachers has quadrupled over the last few years. Some believe teachers ought to only impart academic wisdom while others want teachers to be a larger part of their child’s life. What I think is crucial for a teacher is to understand the child’s age. Age factor plays a role in how a teacher should behave with a student.

Kindergarten teaches youngsters just how to speak with their classmates and how to socialize. Teachers' role is to aid youngsters in their socialization and personality development. Teaching academic topics is not a priority for instructors at this time. Instead, instructors are more likely to serve as role models for pupils, allowing them to develop appropriate ethical viewpoints, well-socialized behavior, and sound judgmental foundations.

Teachers perform a more difficult role in terms of teaching when students progress from primary to secondary school. Juveniles are easily impacted by their surroundings and the actions of their classmates. As a result, instructors are required to guide those pupils down the right route in life as well as educate them a diverse set of skills for their future careers and studies. Teaching and mentoring pupils are equally vital for teachers throughout this time period.

Following that, most students in university and higher education are equivalently developed enough to assume responsibility for their own behavior in comparison to prior levels.

As a result, instructors and professors do not need to educate such pupils on how to discern right from wrong. At this point, knowledge sharing is likely to be the most important factor in forming relationships between professors and students.

Finally, teachers certainly play an active role in the lives of their students. The age of pupils has a major influence on the function of teachers. This helps teachers mold their interactions according to the age of the child. It helps them ascertain how to manage students and work towards the betterment of students.

“Acharya Devo Bhava,” a well-known Indian proverb, means “teachers are next to God.” Teachers have had the greatest status in society from ancient times. It is a contentious issue whether instructors should focus just on academics or also teach students manners and etiquette. Both views will be discussed in this article. Teachers, on the other hand, have a far broader responsibility than simply teaching topics, in my opinion.

The instructor is similar to a potter who shapes the earthen pots into whichever shape he desires. A child's mind is like raw clay, waiting to be molded into the shape that is desired. A competent teacher is constantly concerned with the development of a child's conscience. For his students, he has the capacity to be a friend, philosopher, and mentor. Because of his unique position in the lives of pupils, he frequently serves as a role model for them. His remarks have a significant impact on the kids' brains. Students are always attempting to mimic his acts or put his lessons into practice, therefore they must be wary of his behavior. As a result, a teacher's job is considerably broader than simply teaching academic topics.

Furthermore, teachers in many areas of the world communicate many positive messages to parents and society through their children. Teachers, for example, in Nepal, where the illiteracy rate is quite high, pass on many important lessons to students, such as personal cleanliness. Parents pay attention when a youngster returns home and informs his parents that his teacher advised everyone to wash their hands before eating. Teachers, rather than academicians, have a far larger role in such situations.

Those who suggest that teachers should focus only on teaching course subjects, on the other hand, contend that competition is fierce. If students fall behind in their studies, they will never catch up with their peers in other areas of the world in today's global community. They believe that norms of behavior may be taught at home by parents. It also needs to be taught by teachers in order to prepare students for the real world

Finally, I feel that teachers must have a far larger role than just covering the curriculum.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Educating children to become helpful adults is a difficult undertaking, especially when parents and educators want them to get a well-rounded education. Some individuals feel that, in order to specialize in each educational duty, schools should be only responsible for arming students with academic information in order to prepare them for the labor market, while others believe that moral education is also a school's role. Each thought is debatable in its own right.

The first contends that intellectual instruction is the primary responsibility of schools, but training children to conduct appropriately is the responsibility of parents. Teachers feel less burdened to focus on their specialized duty of equipping students with the required information to become confident in dealing with problems in the profession because clear duties for both parents and schools have been divided. Meanwhile, parents who stay by their children's sides from childhood through maturity are more able to comprehend them than ever before. As a result, their advice to follow social moral norms to ensure that their children get along with others makes sense.

Others, on the other hand, point out that parents are so preoccupied with their own careers that some of them overlook instilling correct conduct in their children, despite the fact that some of them are not yet excellent examples for their children to learn from. How can parents who are alcoholics or gamblers properly qualify to teach their children ethical behavior? The counsel and directions of their instructors at school are the most effective way for children to determine their orientation in their conduct.

However, there is another reason to support the former idea: moral instruction is a subject that students should be imbued with via their practical experience later in life. What their professors teach them about morality at school is frequently theoretical, which can be onerous for students who are already weary from schoolwork.

Often no sooner do youngsters graduate from school than they begin to experience severe melancholy when they realize that, despite their abundance of knowledge, they can scarcely find themselves at ease with others from various walks of life. The fact is that to reach a shared objective, more than academic knowledge is required, but also collaboration, leadership, and other skills, which they would be deprived of if this strategy were to become reality. At the same time, instructors can blend moral and intellectual instruction to reduce curricular overload in all of these topics.

Overall, each point of view has its own justification, and I believe that a harmonic synthesis of different topics is the greatest option.
