Band 7 IELTS Essay

Some claim that instructors place a high priority on the development of students' talents, including their social and academic advancement. Parents, however, in my opinion, are more trustworthy for shaping children in many ways. Because they surround them from a young age and have a bigger influence on their entire development. First off, because they spend more than six hours a day at school with their kids, I believe parents are more accountable for students' socialisation. Second, it goes without saying that parents are the first people a child interacts with.

In reality, research has shown that the majority of brain growth happens before the age of three. Parents significantly contribute to a child's social development throughout that stage of development. Due to the fact that children are more inclined to emulate their parents' behaviour than that of teachers, parents not only have a role in socialisation. But also in other areas of development like character development, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Regarding intellectual growth, I believe that parents have a greater responsibility. Because they consistently steer their kids in a particular educational direction. In other words, parents choose the intellectual fields in which their children will develop based on their tastes. Second, parents instil in their kids' fundamental knowledge from the alphabet to numbers from an early age. It later serves as the foundation for their understanding of cognitive development. Additionally, it should be noted each student is unique and has their own perspective of the world, educators do not always pay attention to them equally. Overall, it is acceptable that teachers are more qualified and competent in fostering students' intellectual curiosity and worldview. However, because they are the primary major influencers before mentors, parents have a greater duty for the socialisation and formation of their children.

It is frequently stated that educators are more accountable than parents for helping pupils develop their social and cognitive skills. Given that teachers are well-trained to deliver formal courses, I concur with this assertion. In addition, school is the finest setting for kids to socialise with their peers and make new friends. On the one hand, school is an extremely significant aspect of every student's life, and teachers are crucial to kids' general development. First and foremost, teachers assist pupils in acquiring leadership and collaborative abilities.

They provide them with various tasks so that they can cooperate with their coworkers to complete the assignment. Second, teachers' manners, such as their speech patterns and attitudes, frequently have an impact on students. They might even be motivated to emulate them if they do this. When it comes to intellectual growth, I don't believe there is a better setting than a school to acquire these abilities. Teachers are subject matter experts, and it is their responsibility to instil in their charges the abilities of creativity and critical thinking. Through routine interactions with pupils, teachers can learn about each one's abilities and gain a better understanding of them. Additionally, they are aware of many approaches to problem-solving on their own. On the other side, parents today are quite busy with their jobs. They frequently don't have enough time for their kids, therefore they don't really get them. They might not be aware of the challenges their kid's encounter, how to help them when they fail, how to help them study better, etc. Some parents have a tendency to overlook their child's errors so they won't feel guilty about their own mistakes. To sum up, I believe that mentors play a significant role when it comes to addressing the entire intellectual and social abilities of the children. It's because they've been professionally trained to do this.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Teachers have a greater impact on student's social and intellectual development than do parents. I vehemently disagree, and in this essay, I will demonstrate my position beyond a shadow of a doubt. It is undeniable that intelligence may run in families. And it has been seen that a child with educated, intelligent parents has a higher chance of succeeding in school than one with illiterate parents. Similar to how students tend to have their parents' support in accomplishing well in school if the parents are sound.

Generally speaking, students are watched over and encouraged to study since they have educated parents. A father who is a lawyer might desire his son to follow in his footsteps, for instance, and would ostensibly help the child in any way he requires. Teachers have a big impact on student's lives, but it's disappointing when kids leave school and no one encourages them to review what they learned. For instance, many kids experience psychological issues as a result of harsh parental discipline. It has a negative effect and may lead to subpar performance. Adolescents must be appropriately disciplined and trained in order to improve and flourish. Another thing to consider is that kids are more gregarious when their parents let them mingle with their pals. For instance, some mothers take their daughters to social events, exercise facilities, and entertainment centres. As a result of these interactions, individuals develop better social skills with peers. She gains exposure to culture, new friends, and fashion as a result. Children must consciously choose to work harder in order to obtain better grades in school. In other words, parents should make significant contributions on their own because education begins in the home. In conclusion, it is impossible to overstate the importance of parents in the lives of their children. Teenagers can therefore excel in life by receiving consistent guidance and assistance. Role models for children should be their parents.
